It wasn't unmderrated, but I think it's been forgotten by many. Drown in the controversies and trials he went through towards the end of his life. Many of his biggest songs has a deeper meaning, a greater meaning that we have to stand together to get a better world.

Michael couldn't talk for two weeks after recording this. He sometimes had to write down what he needed or wanted to say due to the fact he used his vocal chords that hard for that amount of time. That's almost 2 minutes of hitting hard high notes with power and perfect diction. Mind blowing.

If every person in the world listened to his songs and heeded to his words, the world would have been a much better place. Being the best entertainer, top selling artist etc. those things are given and undisputed, but he was also a gentle soul passing powerful messages through his songs. We have very few artists who use their power and influence towards good things and MJ certiainly was among the top ones. Truly a King! We lost a great soul.

This reaction was the TRUTH. And Earth Song is ABSOLUTELY THE TRUTH. Michael is about TRUTH so it all lines up; I like people who FEEL music. You guys FELT what Michael was trying to portray in audio AND video. Thank you. This song was conceived in 1989 & was released in 1995. Think how far back that was & how in tune Michael's conscience was with what was going on. This hits just as hard as Marvin Gaye's Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology). Michael was a PROPHET. He always wrote his songs with some sense of the future in mind. That's why his songs don't sound dated & always sound ahead of their time. After Michael passed, Carlos Santana referred to Michael as the Archangel. You guys saying Michael was telling folks in this song that Jesus was coming back only underlines this connection. In Hebrew, "Michael" means "Who Is Like God". MJ tried his best to live up to his name, didn't he?

Man it's so powerful watching Mel get so touched and emotional over this song! It cuts deep and she was tearing up. It's a very deep song. Now you guys gotta react to man in the mirror next (preferably his performance of the song in the 1988 Grammy awards). Then react to MJs they don't care about us, and MJs remember the time

Mother Earth is paying us our just due. Floods, wild fires, hurricanes & tornados back to back, food shortages. Yep, we're getting our just due because we just don't listen. This song made me cry when I first heard it and the video..wow.

Such a powerful song!! Sadly, still relevant today. We are destroying the earth & ourselves. No beauty unless we change our ways. Just my own opinion.
