It's always so rewarding to see the process you go through to compose and perform your music, and also how the sense of place provides inspiration. I feel sad that you are suffering so much stress at this time, and above all, I send you my blessings and hopes that your wife will recover soon. Music, the forest and rain are all healing powers. Great to hear from you Adam - and glad you have some natural "escape places". Jean is making good progress - it's just that the injury resulted in a complex surgery. So patience is part of the equation.

I used to love walking in the rain in the forest near here (the New Forest which is ancient). We dont have bears but we have boars and ponies. Sometimes farm pigs. BTW look at shotgun mics and parabolic mics for isolating those bird sounds. Very cool and not a lot of money.
