    Crazy thing all these test I did when the commander came out and I finished building the motor throttle body etc and new belts were faster if the old belt was worn out. Broken end belts with miles were always faster. Especially if used a can am race belt. I love that you have a channel dedicated to performance tuning

    What you mite be feeling is with some new belts it could be slightly wider. So it could be sitting higher in the secondary. Which could be giving you a slightly low gear ratio. But other then that, it should be really close. Had a good time talking and racing with you and Keith over the weekend. Congratulations on 10K as well.

    Wow that’s crazy I was totally confident that the new belt would run a better time... If I think about it a well broken in belt would probably do the BEST time though. Everything would be at it’s optimum I think. Good test tho bro there is always some variables to 0-60 / acceleration tests especially when you are measuring thousandths of a second difference. My take away is that they are the same. As long as it is properly broken in or not falling apart it should be good. Another amazing and boring video that I couldn’t help but watch as soon as I was notified from you badass dudes. Good job brother/‘s I’ll be waiting for the next one! 🤘😎🤘

    Good video. Do you have a picture of the side of the old belt? That will show how worn out that belt is. I guess what im getting at is if that belt was made to go 5k miles and you only took it 1k miles then you may not notice a difference. But if before you came off a belt that was at the end of its life and changed to a fresh one then you would feel the difference. I have a Badass belt sitting on my shelf that is going on my XPT soon (Im due for a belt change) and Im curious if I pick up anything on it as I know for sure that I have lost some top end as the belt has worn.

  • @ftorvideo

    I hold them up next to each other about mid way through the video. The old belt was very worn, it had threads missing on the edges and it was notched in a few places.

  • @chadshumaker2789

    @chadshumaker2789

    5 жыл бұрын

    @@ftorvideo I saw that but how to tell how worn a belt is if you look at the side there is natural taper to it as you know. Then at the very top/outer portion of the side it flattens off when that flat part is gone the belt is pretty well worn out and starts wearing thinner. I was curious if any of that flat portion was left.
