It looks very nice for a person who isn't interested in many possessions/clothes and just wants a place to do basic sleep, eat, shower, and relax with hobbies and work being away from the home. Maybe the TV set up so it can be watched downstairs or upstairs would be the only thing I could argue to be changed.

Pretty good design. Being disabled with severe chronic pain I would have to have the “kitchen prep/table” area be hinged to fold up flat against the walls to fold down only when useds. And a real comfortable couch put across that wall (under the folding kitchen counter/table) and where the shelves currently are. And I don’t know if I could manage to go up and down the stairs every night. But for someone young and healthy, this would give a lot of people a secure place to live.

The bathroom is too big IMO, unless your choice is only shore power. You aren't going to want to waste water like that if you are boondocking. I would put the kitchen and shower under the storage loft so you could have more headroom in those areas because height/head room doesn't really matter for storage. You are mainly sitting in the "living room" so that should be under the bedroom loft and could be extended with less room being eaten by the bathroom. The stairs could be done differently where you could have both drawers and hanging storage. There are many changes that could make this small space better. I'm not saying it's bad, but not that good as far as space design. I always wonder why people never mount TVs to the ceiling to drop down, that could save so much wall space and they are so thin now it wouldn't eat much head space. Just need a really good mounting system if you are worried about it while traveling. Personally, I would never do a bedroom loft. Murphy bed is the answer IMO. People need to stop being married to dedicated "rooms" unless you are talking about a bathroom.

Another awesome alternative for the bed, is using a "happy jack". Basically it is a power hydrolic lift. You can use it to raise and lower a bed or other type of furniture you don't want down/out all day. Build a nice looking, strong, framed platform for your mattress, and then the nice platform is all that shows, when it is raised up and not in use. (Search for them on youtube. I know there are videos of them being used in conversion vans. There are probably some in TH also. I've even thought that could be great for storage. Build a similar platform, but probably a little smaller, then put seasonal and/or items you won't need often in it.

This is of course, a very nice design. The size is so limiting, there is only so much you can do. In case you would like feed back on what a consumer likes/dislikes, I'll share my thoughts. Things I really liked: 1.The storage under the table top is clever and very nicely designed. (Often a dropdown table is a necessity for a space, but if it isn't, I think your design is the way to go.) 2. The open area at the bottom of the wall, where you could put shoes. 3. IF a design requires a loft type of bedroom set-up, the 2nd smaller side would be great for clothes. What I don't like/would add or remove are the following. 1. EVEN IF IT CAN'T BE CHANGED, please don't call a 2.5-3 foot wooden bench, a "couch". Honestly, that set the video/design in a negative light from the start, for ME. (May have had no effect on anyone else.) There are actually 2 issues to this "couch". First, having seating for only 1 person, which is also not as deep as standard living room chairs/couches, and which requires you to sit straight up with your back against the hard wall, would be a deal breaker for me. I would not need to go any further into the TH. Second, calling that a "couch", when it clearly isn't, doesn't instill confidence in anything else you go on to tell us. In summary, make a better seating design if you can make it work, if not then call it a seating area or a bench. 2. The drawers under the stairs are a great idea. I would change the design a little so the drawers were a little deeper. They could all be the same depth, or make a really deep one, then each one above it gradually gets smaller, or use 2 different depths, every-other drawer. (I mention options because it looked like in addition to adding function with the drawers, you were adding a design to the wall as well. You could still do that, even if you have one less drawer, because you increase the depth of the drawers. 3. The height in the loft is way too low. Not many people, especially 30s+, are going to be willing, on a daily basis, in their permanent home, crawl around on the floor to change bed sheets, get clothes which you would have to put on downstairs, etc. Funny thought I guess, but even having sex in that loft would be problematic, unless you are good with mostly missionary. Hey, it's a serious consideration. 😁 In summary, the loft height doesn't have to be 6+ feet, but I'd want to be able to stand up enough to pull on a pair of pants. Maybe 4.5-5 feet would work. The Bathroom. I could not say if the size of the bathroom is good or bad. It certainly takes up a lot of space- could add more comfortable seating for a couch if it was smaller, but then you'd have a small bath, and nobody "wants" a small bath. For me, I guess it means I could not go to this small of a TH. I would need something with another 40+/- sq feet on the first floor, and about 2 feet more in height. I'm only one person, but it is a little feedback anyway.

Yes I could live in this tiny home with a few changes . Since it's just me I'd use the one loft area for a closet. I'd put in a full size bed for a bit more space for book shelves. Instead of cupboards in the kitchen I'd put in deep drawers much easier to get into and organize. Larger window. I'd also have storage space in/under the stairs . Get rid of that homemade couch an just use an oversized chair.

I wouldn't be able to live in this one. They didn't even put a small cushion on the "couch," and the toilet was a literal bucket with a lot of wasted space around it I'm giving a pretty critical opinion on this one... Some positives: the outlets, and the clean finish, as well as the lighting and ac/heating were all good. Also, someone might be comfy camping in it, or for it to be a temporary setup? Overall, I can't build and I respect someone designed and made this, it's just a setup I wouldn't be comfortable in.

Well, this is why I believe that an 8x16 should never have a loft. An outdoor deck, sure, but not a loft. 8x16s are my favorite tiny house size but I prefer one story 8x16s. The stairs eat up a lot of footprint on the main floor, making the sofa area useless or just a place to drop things when you enter. With an 8x16, you have to think (for me anyway) minimalism. If you pack too much into an 8x16 you will quickly begin to feel unsatisfied. I'm impressed that you fit a bathtub in there but I would have preferred a standalone shower with room for a small sink. Not a fan of leaving the bathroom to wash your hands in the kitchen prep area.

If you suffer from night terrors, you are going to want to wear a helmet in bed. Also, that's really pushing it to call that thing downstairs a "couch". No one is going to find that comfortable for an evening of watching television. It was a nice use of space, but I could never live comfortably in that for the long-term. If you parked it on some nice river or lake property, it could be used as a rental unit for 1 or 2 people for a night or 2. That's about it.
