There is potential for it to work if you have a moderate income or some time and a freezer. With min income it won't work but you can buy herbs in a pot or seeds for them and they will hold for months. Or dried herbs. Beans and other can stuff is the same price all year round. You can freeze meals or vegetables when you have a lot ingredients and it's in season. I don't know about 30 different plants but I do manage 20. i think I would need to buy more diverse and I honestly don't want to. I don't like everything. 😂

A big part of what kicked off significant weight loss for me (i was 310lbs 5'2 at my biggest) was that i spent about a month taking a lot of probiotic and prebiotic supplements with greek yogurt and other fermented foods, and also making sure that im getting at least a couple different veggies every day. As someone who has lived as an obese person, it is now shocking to me how normalized it is in certain areas for you to eat absolutely nothing but soda, meat, and carbs. And i dont do keto or anything, i mean people will eat literally nothing but stuff like bugers, meatloaf and potatos, pasta with meatballs, and nothing to drink but sodas. every single day. Just making veggie sides a priority, just drinking some water every day was a massive diet chamge for me. I started eating soups a lot because its so much easier to pack lots of different veggies in it. Now looking back it is disgusting the food i was given as a kid. People really underestimate how their shitty childhood diet fucks up their gut health in ways that make basic diet changes inefficient. I still eat pizza rolls, just make yourself have literally any fiberous veggie first so that you feel more full, feed the microbiome, poop good, and end up not eating as many pizza rolls.

I try to eat a primarily plant based diet too but had to start eating small amounts of grass fed beef amd natiral chicken due to anemia so love this idea of plant points to increase plants in diet especially for my husband. I started putting fresh kale in the freezer after washing it. It is so easy when frozen to just crush it into kale flakes and it to lots of cooked recipes like pasta sauces, taco tilling, soup etc.
High fiber is good for some gut issues but not all! I have gastroparesis and high fiber foods actually make my flares and pain much worse. Wish I could eat more plants, but I have to stick with what works.
Your dress is gorgeous! I can't wait to see these recipes!
It isnt affordable for everyone unfortunately 💔 some can only eat diverse or different fruit when they are in season and cheaper

Exactly. Not affordable and/or wasteful if you have to buy that many different products every week

me to a T. i try to branch out when i can but it’s not always affordable. i stick to my basics majority of the time. as long as your getting in fresh fruit and veg each day i don’t think it needs to be much more thought given tbh

Buying canned or frozen is a great way to get in your fruits and veg during their off-seasons for cheap! They are still very nutritious, especially because they can be packaged while the produce is still fresh and has more nutrients.

Part of me thinks the reason those who eat a large variety of plants have a larger microbiome is due to the fact they also likely eat more plants than the average person.

This sounds great, even with people saying fresh and dried herbs count. But what I’m worried about is the cost - it seems like it’s not a great time to start buying things you might not be able to afford in this current climate

I agree, I think this is definitely a do the best you can situation and wish the video would reflect that. For my current situation this is doable, but just a few years ago, this would be expensive and potentially wasteful.

That looks yummy I live In a household with very picky eaters and we don’t eat enough veggies or fruit
I try to "eat the rainbow", it helps me keep track of veg intake. To save money, most grocery stores have a discount veg area, you can cut it up and freeze it or buy frozen veg too. Also try farmers markets.
This is great! I feel like I get in a rut of just chicken, broccoli, and rice over and over again. This will really switch things up!
Looks amazing
that looks so delicious.
Came for the recipe was delighted by hearing ‘to boot’, it needs a comeback!
This looks ridiculously easy & I never would have thought of it. Thank you!
Amazing!! Healthy AND delicious!! 💕
Looks delish!
Mmmm....this looks delicious!
This is like three delectable meals in one: 1 raw, 1 cooked, and 1 with the pasta!! Soooo yummy!! Thank you!! 🎉
I heard this a few weeks ago and have been really trying to be mindful of what I cook and eat. Each week I've been counting each plant and only get to the early twenties, so I'm excited for this series!
Looks amazingly delish! 🎉
Yes I need this series! 🍲
great, now if only I could afford groceries
SPICES!!!!!! Best way to up ur plant game
That's totally doable, in my country we have diverse amount of veggies and herbs which also change depending on the season so we get the best of both worlds, never get bored and consume wonderful plant source vitamins
I watched this for the first time about 2 hours ago and now I'm eating it with orzo instead of pasta! Thanks
A series I needed❤
The dress was just as pretty ❤
Love this!!! You rock! 😄
This looks so good.
That looks so yummy ❤
Hi PlantYou, I want to thank you for your channel. I am inspired when I cook. I am starting a channel to include more balanced and healthy eating ❤
yesss! looking forward to it!
Thank you so much. I needed this.🎉🎉
Honestly this looks pretty budget friendly too!! Buying small amounts of these vegetables as long as you're choosing in season veggies would be pretty cheap and pasta is VERY cheap, esp if you buy it in bulk.

Girl she putted either jarred peppers or sun-dried tomatoes in this. Where I live one jar of those is like $10
This looks delicious!!!!
Just make the South Indian Saambaar. You can add as much as vegetables as you want. We add 10 or more vegetables in it. You can always change the vegetables as your weather and market allow.😊😊😊
Love this !!
This looks amazing!
I totally just did a broccoli 🥦 and cauliflower meal prep this week that was super delicious and healthy. Thanks 🙏🏽 for sharing ❤
Here she goes again with another viral mini series 😍😍😍
Love this, commenting to help my algorithm 👍
I've tried a couple times! Don't always hit it, but it's fun to count every once in a while. Great series idea.
Looks delicious. ❤
Wow ❤ that is brilliant. I'm so into it! 30 or more plants per week.
This recipe is SO GOOD!! 10/10 recommend ❤❤
This is exciting! I’m up for the challenge
echoes of our past where we all travelled in hunter-gatherer nomadic groups and had to eat what we foraged. the good old days
Love this recipe
This looks delicious
Awesome! The recipe looks delicious. I love the dress where did you get it?
You make cooking look easy, thank you!
Was that jarred artichokes?because a small jar is $5, those lityle tomato's are also $5 a tiny or little basket. Its so expensive. Farmers markets are oraginc here in Cali so of course dollars more. Id love to cook this one pan pasta but food, real food is expensive. I live in the valley farm lands and i still cant get cheap tomatos. Can u show us a grocery receipt that can inspire a budget balnced with healthier valuable ingredient recipies

Frozen and canned fruits and vegetables saved me when I was on a tight budget! Especially for things like this where it all gets mashed up and texture doesn’t matter so much, I always opt for frozen

Also, it is actually pretty simple, and affordable for most. To grow these tiny tomatoes in a container or hydroponic tower 🍅 some can keep coming back each year! good luck!😊

That looks so good! My son is fructose intolerant, so he can’t eat it but I’ll make it when he’s at grandmas.
You have the best series ideas! Love this prompt.

Sis delicious!!!
Eatin different things creates a diverse diet.....I'm so glad for this knowledge on can only possibly get from a yt short.
I swear to god this would be the best series on the history of KZread. I'm so goddamn excited. I never sub yt channels but Im now. Best wishes
YESSSS I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS SERIES!
Looks Yummy👏🏾
Thank you soo much for you videos!
Hey! If you’re going to say it’s meal prep friendly can you say about how long it lasts in the fridge please?
My whole life I "hated" vegetables, but since i started gardening I found my love for them
Thank you!!!
That looks delicious
As a mum with 2 under 5, I can't wait to see more like this! 😍🤤
Yum! 😋 that looks and sounds like winning tbh
Families living in food desserts have often only limited canned options, so that nutritional value has to be factored into any plant "diet". Fresh nor frozen vegetables are available for everyone no matter how healthy they want to eat.

Looks so yummy. I’m looking forward to having a kitchen again someday where I can cook whatever I like. 🤍🗝️🕊️🌀
The key is that you don't have to eat a big amount, just have more diversity.
Looks yummy! 😋
😮 thank you for this
Everything you make looks SO good. New favorite food content creator! 🌱
it is so beautiful keep growing girl
I have never thought of consuming more vegetables in the context of “how many plant species can I consume this week.” Challenge accepted.
I love the "plant points" as a scoring system, a nice way to think about planning meals. I'm saving this video for later ❤
Just changing your seasoning blend each night of the week is really helpful if your fridge is full of veg but it's not much variety
Love this!!!! So excited for this series! This meal looks incredible!
This looks soooooooo nommy! Love me some roasted garlic!
Looks great can't wait to make it 😊
Love this series!
as someone who comes from a culture that values plant-based food over anything else, it’s very interesting to see how people in the US are the opposite and often struggle to come up with ways to incorporate veggies into their diet.
Spices and herbal teas count too!
