Garetn has a reputation for bias but I think his assessment of Usyk vs Fury is realistic. They both share the same qualities of great ringcraft and stamina. They also share good footwork and reflexes, although I give Usyk the edge in those areas. Fury's clear advantage is his size; with his height and reach he will be looking to keep Usyk back on the end of that long jab. Meanwhile, Usyk's big advantage (for me) is his constant and intense work rate, which he is able to maintain for the full 12 rounds. There will be no opportunity for Fury to step back and take his foot off the gas, between feints or following a flurry of punches, as he often does. I think that constant unrelenting pressure, together with Usyk's speed and accuracy, will flummox Fury and enable Usyk to get into range to land scoring shots. Wearing down opponents is Usyk's bread and butter; Fury definitely has the physical stamina to stay the course, but the wearing down is also mental and the level of constant concentration required to follow Usyk's movement and try to anticipate him is intense over the distance. Joshua, Bellew and Dubois looked drained at the end of their fights. There will be other side stories, such as Fury targeting Usyk's body and Usyk targeting Fury's eye, but overall I see a narrow points win for Usyk, with the possibility of Fury dropping points if he becomes frustrated.

I didn't mention the scenario of Fury trying the old lean-and-smother on Usyk, because I don't think it will work. Usyk is too slippery and elusive to get trapped like that and Fury may well get punished on the break. Usyk is also deceptively strong himself, he was pushing Joshua back at one point.

Fury is training like a chump in his local public gym. His own gym is less than 500 yards from his front door. He's too distracted and pissing about while preparing for the biggest fight of his boxing career. Usyk is gonna make a fool of fury.

Can Fury out box Usyk? Of course he can, if Usyk has an accident and his arms fall off.
