@@danielkarow6500 so the main protagonist James, enters silent hill, a distorted reality that fits around his worst nightmares. It was a town him and his ex wife used to visit, she then became unwell and eventually passed. And without too much spoilers James felt responsible, so he could see and hear her tormenting his silent hill nightmare. It all revolves around what he did, and she’s the one calling him there. Like her spirit, and he chases because he knows subconsciously he did something bad to her in the past and silent hill can play on this to lure James. And yes this is James speaking about Mary in game, he truely believed she lived somehow and convinced himself she was there.

the way I feel listening to this even though I've never played silent hill... I can only imagine those who played it and are deep into the lore.

Honestly all this song makes me think about is Jacobs ladder and silent hill and it makes me feel a certain loss in my life I've never had thanks for reviving this feeling

this video singlehandedly influenced me to visit my local retro games store and spend $130 on the game a few months ago ( i didn't wanna emulate it on pc) . once i got a hang of the controls , i was hooked . it was like a crazy addiction . i wanted the game to end for James' sake but i also secretly wanted it to go on for a lil longer . i finally beat it last month and its definitely one of the best games i ever played . the story definitely lives up to the hype . im 23 and i never played a horror game until now ! tbh im kinda envious of those who were old enough to grow up with this game . absolute masterpiece . SA: i got the "in water" ending and i was kinda surprised i didn't hear Mary say the infamous line: "if that were true , then why do u look so sad?" lmao this video had me waiting for that line the whole game ! currently replaying so i can get the "leave" ending :)))

Imagine your wife tells you to take her life to end her suffering. You feel so guilty, you want your wife to hate for doing so. You tell her it was to get rid of her and not to end her suffering so she hates you just as much as you hate yourself. Instead she sees though it all and sees your guilty. Man what an interesting story.

It definitely paints how self inflicted guilt or ig self guilt as Jr wldnbe called can affect the mind. The monster being the his own demons he has to face. Just when in the hospital and a relative ask to pull the plug. You know it will help them you it'd the right thing to do in the end. But the blaming yourself for something you know isn't really your fault. If it's terminal with mo cure and they only get worse why prolong the suffering. I've never had to make that call or choice and I don't evy those that have had to. I hope I never have to cuz idk what I wld do tbh

It's so upsetting that the remake is only a ps5 exclusive
