I wonder if you’re talking about Philbon or Alexander when not seeing eye to eye with Duke. I think the Oline was much better with Philbon. That was the most pathetic running game I’ve seen since watching this team. I’m sure pollard wasn’t 100% to start the season but I don’t think you can blame health for having no where to go from game 3 or 4 on. The whole point of replaceable backs is if the o line blocks it up “anyone” can run it. Not with whatever scheme Solari was running. That was trash. I kept waiting all season for someone to call him out but it never happened.

Rico is always hurt because he isn't a natural gifted runner. Tough, sure, just not much talent to work with. Im interested in Seeing Freeman much more so than way past his prime nothing left zeke, Terrible team management to have zero top talent @ DT, even osa is easy to run over in the run game... Back to the Run game Deuce? Not unless you get him to the 2nd level. He has to be schemed...Maybe Malik Davis gets some run this year?

All running plays are SCHEMED to get into the 2nd level. Not once have I ever seen a play scheme where the goal is to run into the unblocked front line player. The problem with our run game was run game blocking scheme didn't fit our players and our players struggled to execute. Guys like Biadiaz got blown up right off the snap. Instead of asking guys to downblock or combo block, or running any traps or zone blocking... our line was asked continuously to play head up and drive their guy off the ball. And we struggled hard. Evidenced by running backs constantly getting hit in the backfield. This oline play/scheme improves, and any of these backs, including Duece will be MUCH better this year.
