I feel like McDonalds, Columbia and the Air Force will ride things out with Bubba another couple years without a win. But I have to believe that most others would only stick around to be tied to MJ and want to be spread between the 45 and the 23 if they stayed.

That's the part that sucks. I hate all that ever got involved with NASCAR. The mainstream media ran with it at the time because racial tension was such a hot topic and NASCAR was in the spotlight for the wrong reasons. I feel in hindsight most involved wish they would have handled it differently.

Bubba sucks! Micheal Jordan should fire him and buy Denny Hamlin out! Bubba thinks that he is entitled. Michael Jordan is a class act and he needs to get rid of the garbage that he is associating with.

MJ is definitely a class act. I followed him through the UNC days and probably only missed watching a few Bulls games during the 90's. After the dream team went separate ways, I pretty much stopped watching NBA on a regular basis but am glad he's an owner now and in the sport that's always been my passion. Hopefully for decades to come.

I’m not so sure why you want MJ to buy Denny H out. If it has to do with Bubba I really think Denny is getting sick of Bubba as well. I think he’s tired of making excuses for him and sticking up for him. But Denny’s afraid MJ might get upset about it. But I think they’re both tired of Bubba playing the race card every single week and always blaming another driver for him wrecking or wrecking someone else.

@@robertbean66lol you should probably actually watch the sport instead of talking out of your ass. He’s 13 and currently in the playoffs, after having made the playoffs last year and coming a blown tire away from making the round of 8. He’s a great driver and he’s got sponsors. He’s not losing his ride any time soon. People say they want more personalities in this sport, but what they really mean is, “I want 42 Corn Fed, Tony Stewart-acting good ole boys.” Bubba almost never blames anyone but himself if things don’t go well. He’s a kid from nothing in Nowhere, Alabama and If he were white he’d be the American dream. Y’all just can’t stand to see a black man do well. Twist it however you need to, but y’all are racists, make no doubt about that. That’s your prerogative, but don’t pretend it’s any thing other than what it is

He hasn't done himself any favors recently. I still deep down feel he has the ability to be a regular contender. I could only imagine what reading negative comments about yourself does to a person week in and week out. That pressure alone has to carry over to the track constantly. With that said it's up to him to create better headlines about himself and try to get the negativity behind him and focus on driving. That's why I'm in the middle. I could see his wins start coming or a downward spiral. Time will tell.

The Kansas win was included but I don't believe I named the track. As for the pull rope I only included it because so many people are misinformed about it. I read so many comments weekly about Bubba finding it and reporting it when he wasn't even in the garage. It's all such a touchy subject with so many opinions. First off, congratulations on this episode. It was well thought out, and prepared. I can appreciate the neutral position to start the conversation. That being said, I've been watching bubba from ARCA and Trucks. He was doing well, but not a prodigy, which is fine. He showed that he had the desire and could rise to the occasion if he stayed focused. That's the driver everybody wants. But then he got the call. In my opinion that's when he lost focus. Now he thinks he belongs. But he hadn't proved himself yet. When he drove for Petty Enterprises I rooted from him. I'll always root for a truly Petty owned car. He has the ability to be competitive when he's focused. With the right equipment, he could be a weekly contender, if only he could stay focused on doing his best. He gets distracted by propaganda and gets caught up in the drama of trying to be the star. Seems to me, he is pressured to make headlines, or at least he feels the need to make headlines. I think he has the ability to make headlines by focusing his energy on his driving and honing his craft. I think he'll be contending week in and week out. The headlines will follow. He shouldn't be trying so hard to be the "personality " he should be tryin harder to compete and win. Long and short of it, he's no Kyle Busch, or Denny Hamlin, or Tony Stewart. They had the success that allowed them to have a personality. To be blunt... Shut up and drive. Great episode. Keep em comin. I'm rootin fer ya!

I couldn't imagine what that could do to a man's mind. Why I say I respect every driver out there. Even though the cars are much safer these days, there is no guarantee they are going home that night. In my opinion that deserves at least some respect. I appreciate you rooting for me! Say he was a top talent, he would be expected to win 5 to 9 races a year and to make through the second round of the chase at least. Bubba hasn't the talent to do this, yet he is so arrogant, entitled, and spoiled. As a leader of men all my life I know this an impossible combination unless it can be overcome by performance. It's funny, I was on the Coca Cola Racing Family promo shoot with Bubba 5 or 6 years ago for the next season and he showed up in the Air Force suit. Under NDA's I had to keep it to myself but then a week later I was on a Mt Dew commercial with Jr and Dale was talking about Bubba's sponsors. So, I quietly mentioned to Dale that Bubba had picked up the Air Force and Dale whipped out his phone and called Bubba on the spot. Same day I asked Dale when he was going to have a kid and he just grinned the Earnhardt grin and stood quiet. 2 weeks later he announced it. So many secrets in NASCAR lol. But yes, Bubba needs to get some wins. At least 1 this year and solid top 10's.

Most of these commentators on these channels have never met Bubba, set their ass in a race car, worked on one or know any real aspects to what it takes to devote a life to racing. If Reddick pops off 3 or 4 wins a year, has Toyota in the playoffs along with Gibbs cars and Bubba fails to win or make the playoffs, the pressure will mount with other Toyota development drivers coming up waiting for a shot in Cup. 23XI is a “diversity” team. They MUST have DIVERSITY when it comes to their drivers. They would need to replace Bubba with another person of color.

That's one thing I think so many people don't understand. In the garage area there are many black crew members. And big dudes with skills! The landscape has changed and opened up to athletes to be part of this sport and they bring their talent. I just like to call it people doing what they like for a career.

@@thatracingshow I agree. Lots of diversity in NASCAR. However, 23XI is focused on DRIVER DIVERSITY I think…so they would need to replace Bubba with another person of color in order to keep the DRIVER DIVERSITY. Bubba is the “face” of 23XI. Everyone else is behind the scenes and no one really sees them. It would look bad on 23XI to get rid of Bubba. Bubba’s issues with fans started in 2020 with the whole BLM thing and fake “noose” issue in the garage…which was actually just a door pull rope. Everything was way too dramatic, etc. All the “crying” of racism, etc. Racism no longer exists and hasn’t for decades. Some just hold themselves down…white or color. Everyone has equal opportunities and has for decades. There is no one alive today that experienced slavery, racism, etc. The crying about racism needs to stop. We are all one color (see no color), one race (human), etc. ALL LIVES MATTER!!!! THIS INCLUDES ALL COLORS, PROFESSIONS, ETC!!!! This is where Bubba went wrong, along with NASCAR. Example: MJ himself. He had ALL the opportunities…got sponsorships, shoe deals, etc. He’s NOT white! And that was DECADES ago!!!! He’s owned an NBA team and now owns part of a NASCAR team. He didn’t cry racism. He focused on all his opportunities and made the best of them.

@@erikrenner I know MJ wanted to have Bubba as his driver from the beginning. No doubt. There were lots of reports that MJ wanted to buy into ownership with RPM. MJ pretty much shot down the reports but with the selection of Bubba at 23Xl it's obvious. I completely get why he would. I do think if performance doesn't raise to wins over the next 18 months the team would be open to all options with sponsor backing though. As for racism, I hate it of any format. My former daughter in law is black and my step granddaughter as well. So, I witnessed various forms of things toward my son and her during their marriage from both black and whites. I do believe opportunity is in abundance if people really want to succeed though no matter who they are.

First, I'm 58 and won't ever stop rockin' LOL Second, NASCAR needs more guys like BJ. Finally, I'm not especially for or against Bubba. I wish he could just get to drive a race car and not have all the other stuff going on. Sure, he's done some stupid crap and rightfully caught crap for it, but he catches more crap really than he deserves. I really think if all the controversy could go away he would be an asset to the sport. He's a good driver and can win races. If all the extra stuff could just go away I think you'd see a lot better results out of him.

Can never quit rocking! I just don't do it on stages anymore. After over a decade singing 4 nights a week, I enjoy a beer and the acoustic on the deck these days lol. Man, that's me about Bubba. I've been around Bubba on Coca Cola shoots before all this stuff happened and the dude was fun. Dude pounds the hell out of some drums too! All I can say. That's the guy that fans loved to toss the football with during rain delays. I personally feel for him being put in the place he was and having to react quickly. In the end all these guys behind the wheel do it because they love driving. Not to be the spokesman for the entire series about something that had nothing to do with driving a race car.

IF MJ has his heart set on a Black driver, I think he hired the wrong one. He’s a bit of a project but Raja Carruth doesn’t give someone the finger while doing a nationally televised interview AND he hasn’t been sat down by NASCAR AND he hasn’t assaulted anyone, AND he hasn’t appeared on multiple radio/TV talk shows claiming NASCAR and it’s fans are racists……… I think he is one more wrong move away from getting his walking papers from the GOAT …

Whoa whoa whoa. Bubba knew that rope was not a noose. If he was any kind of a man, he would have stated that fact. However this DEI hire took advantage of this circumstance to swipe his race card. Watching the entire field walk down Pitt Lane while we watched this drama queen cried on the hood of his car was a pathetic scripted theatrical performance. Then you have someone like NHRA two-time champion Anton Brown; a well respected drag racer admired throughout the racing organization. NASCAR however has Bubba Wallace. He possesses none of these traits. They say Michael Jordan never associates himself with a loser, well he is now.

In my opinion the whole incident should have been handled privately by NASCAR. An internal investigation to talk to track employees, review some past footage and photos etc. Simple thought process types of things would have provided evidence to support the facts. So, in a way NASCAR is just as guilty for making it a federal situation in law enforcement and releasing a photo that made the loop look at least twice as big as it actually was. The whole deal is such a touchy situation.

Appreciate you catching that. The first upload had issues, so I quickly had to edit and reupload and completely let that slip past me trying to hurry out the door and not double checking. My bad. What's crazy is it must have been suggested with an "o" and I didn't catch it at all. I'm human and make mistakes especially when in a hurry. As for the sponsor money aspect I was purposefully leaving that topic out and to fans interpretation for discussion. I figured there would be different aspects of various levels people would want to add in of their own. It's a touchy subject with lots of opinions as I see weekly across the internet.
