Could Liz Truss be ousted this week?
The game is up for Liz Truss, that's the verdict of one former Tory minister and not the message the prime minister will want to hear, hours before the markets open in Asia.
Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has insisted Liz Truss is in charge, in an effort to calm the markets and quell backbench disquiet.
But with the average Labour lead in opinion polls now 26 points, the Tories will be doing all they can to stave off the prospect of another general election.

It"s all down to Brexit and its fanatical denial of reality that led to experts being degrinated.. Truss sacked the head of the Treasury and ignored the OBR... Brexit had given her and her cronies the confidence to think that it was just a matter of "faith" in post Brexit Britain and all would be automatically good... Maybe no USA trade deal and legal immigration higher than ever should have made them wake up.

I have no love for Kwasi. But he was literally implementing Truss’s own policies. Truss should be outing herself. Not the Finance minister.
The thing is the Conservative party chose this outcome; I'm not Tory as I disagree with the ideology but there were more capable people like Hunt, Sunak, Mordaunt and they chose Truss and Coffey with a similarly bad cabinet where they are clearly out of their depth.

not having a spending plan before Kwasi’s delivery on his budget is misconduct, then being told it’s 10 days away , then a new chancellor says it’s still 10 days away is disgraceful. Add in that during these delays which where wholly avoidable, the £ has lost 10% in value, never to be regained until taxes go up and or a win fall against energy companies has reduced our debt by 50b and only if this reduced debt balance is reduced before or close to the same time frame as other G7 nations. We will be deep into recession by Q1-23. Perhaps recession is unavoidable but the level of recession will be greater due to these factors

The problem is that the conservatives hold a majority and would get wiped out in a general election. While they could call a vote of no confidence or call for a general election, it wouldn't be in their interest to do so. If they do kick her out it would be back to their members again to vote on a new party leader. The same members who just elected Liz Truss. Tough situation.
Oh jeez!
The problem is, the Fiscal plan didn't go far enough. It needed to be supported by a very big, very unpopular and very controversial cut - on the scale of making the State Pension means tested. Whatever the cut, the UK has to stop borrowing at the rate it is, the problem is getting bigger and bigger by the day. We cannot and must not continue to pass the burden on to future generations, this generation already has an awful lot to answer for.

It is hard to understand why pundits, some medias, press, journalists are rush on Liss Truss, she just govern UK less than 1 month. Better to question Boris and his caninet about three years. She needs more time, Issue is most of MP don’t like to be she selected does way they want to undermine her position. He ask unnecessary questions, shame not to respect members of party to choose her then after a month to expect her to leave job.
When I was a child I used to respect the Prime Minister position and I believe some of you wants to become one, but the last three prime ministers trashed the role soo bad that great Britain became a punching bag in politics after Liz truss demolished the pound on her first month on the post.
