That’s more likely to be him using the master emeralds energy, which is essentially the chaos emeralds kryptonite. And considering Knuckles rarely has all the emeralds, giving him his hyper form would be unfair.

It wouldn't just make sense for knuckles to just assume that sonic stoled the master emerald. There would be a reason for knuckles to get angry at sonic.

Knuckles was a hologram during that scene, and it was proven that Sonic can't physically interact with the characters in their holographic state, so there would be no reason for Sonic to worry about Knuckles hitting him.

Knuckles didn't 1 shot super sonic he weakened his form to the point where 1 hit will destroy super sonic and that's by using the master emerald and he plans out traps so yeah he didn't knock out super sonic by a punch he actually weakened it but that doesn't matter his feats are more stronger once you try to play the spin off

That doesn't count. Knuckles has too many way worse showings to consider that as a legitimate feat, like Amy, who can't even use the power of the chaos emeralds, hurting Knuckles by pushing him onto a tree, or BASE Sonic beating him later in the same game.
