Could bionic eyes help us see better? | All Science. No Fiction.
Serious vision loss affects millions of Americans each year and biological strategies to correct things like retinal degeneration are still decades off. But University of Oregon researchers are looking to create an electronic solution - a bionic eye - that could restore people’s sight. The biggest challenge is creating an interface that will allow the brain to understand what the bionic eye is seeing. They’re tapping into the world of fractal structures that will allow the retinal implant and brain to communicate with each other.

I’ve had retinal occlusions in both eyes. They happened 15 years apart. I am considered legally blind. I am encouraged by this research. I still have vision that is obviously impaired. One eye worse than the other. Objects and distance are blurred, reading is a serious challenge. I wear reading glasses and use magnifying devices. I’d be thrilled to regain some are all of my vision. Much appreciation and thanks to all those researchers.
I have retinitis pigmentosa’s. I’ve been legally blind for many years. I was told I would be completely blind by age 16. I’m getting ready to celebrate my 57th birthday. However, my vision has deteriorated significantly. I would love to be part of a study group.

Iam one eye patient from glaucoma ,unfortunately the eye that I have has a problems in eye preusser cornea, 20 years ago I had valve and cornea transplantation , and Cataracts and 6 years ago I had 2 ( DEASIC ) Surgerys , now I need another one, but the Doctors said that there is very high risk to do it. Now am losing my sight, so dose the bionic eye helps me? Thank you for replying me.
How is this techonology today in 2024? Any improvement? Can they cure blindness from Glaucoma on one eye now or on both eyes?

Fairy tales meant to make people compliant non-thinking “happy” worker bees. The Bible is the longest running ongoing game of telephone (or Chinese whispers) in human history. Recognize the Bible for what it is stories with morals and lessons meant to convey Stone Age Palestinian (Old Testament) or Iron Age near eastern (New Testament) morals and societal values in danger because of military occupation ie Rome.
