Bullfrog is more of an off-road "area" than a 4x4 "trail" - You can drive around for hours on Bullfrog and never see the same rocks twice.. and get lost multiple times - this is why Bullfrog is one of our favorite areas at Cougar Buttes.
Cougar Buttes is located just off Camp Rock Road, a bit northeast of Highway 247 in Lucerne Valley - this is often referred to as part of Johnson Valley but it is technically Lucerne Valley. Part of Cougar Buttes is now included in the famous King of The Hammers race course so that should give an idea of how difficult this area is for off-roading.
