@Bizzles mom - Oh how I wish I could make a soap in this scent! It would not only be brown due to the vanillin in the fragrance, but cotton candy blends almost always fade into a fake plastic smell. It's so sad! I've tried several different fragrances and none work in soap for me.

Missouri River Soap I am so heart broken. I had my alarm set and I was going on the site and it wasn’t quite ready yet. I had made my wishlist so I could make make it faster. My husband is having surgery tomorrow morning so I was getting him ready so I forgot to go on and order my wishlist. I couldn’t sleep and it hit me that I forgot to order and when I went, the soaps were all sold out. My granddaughters even had some picked out. I was able to get wax melts and some of the sugar scrub. I was looking forward to this release since you started it! I am so sad but so happy you sold out. You worked so hard! I’ll set two alarms next time so as not to miss it again. Ugg!!!!

It's not the breaking sound I like - it's when you put the broken pieces on the pile. I could listen to that the whole video.

Oh yeah! That's so cool! Mama Bass Handmade Soap makes amazing galaxy looking wax brittle. I've been making brittle since 2011 but have never perfected it like Lane has.

Snapping the bark is ASMR worthy LOL.

I’m late to the party but these are GORGEOUS ! I think that I actually like the second batch even more than the first. I love making cotton candy scents too, & adding different scents during different seasons to make them more seasonal. Cotton candy blended with caramel apple & candy corn makes for an awesome fall scent, & cotton candy with candy cane is awesome for winter, sounds like a weird combination but it works somehow, lol

There's not a single thing about this that I don't love, wow! I can't wait for it to be in stock again. I'm always so hesitant to buy anything and talk myself out of it because my skin is so sensitive, but wax melts.. oh yeah, I could splurge on some wax melts.

Hi Holly, very cool design in wax! Bet it smells awesome burning. I love making candles. I ramped up and am working on a luxury line. It has it's painful moments with wood wicks, but I'm making progress, lol!

Thank you Jill! I am really struggling with the wood wicks. I love them but they are so finicky for me. It seems like their flame can get out of control easily but too short and they drown out. The line is so fine for me. But I will keep testing. :-) I'll take any tips!

I wonder what i could use instead of silicone molds. I dont have any yet and i wont be able to get the ones i want until after Christmas thanks to covid... could i use wax paper in a cookie sheet? Or a plastic ice tray? I wanted to make some for christmas gifts this year.

Wax does pop out of cookie sheets and plastic containers fairly well. You might want to try a little first just to see. I'm not sure about lining with the wax paper...I'm not sure you would be able to get it off.

how long did you wait in between colors to pour into the mold?

I'm pretty sure I was still using soy at the time. I changed wax not long after I made the video. I bought those molds from Joann's at the time.

I have used Para-Soy before and I'm going back to it for the rest of the year. My current soy wax was discontinued. But I prefer the soy wax because it makes the smoothest tops on the melts.

you show the bottle by rustic essentials but cant see what scent it is..can you tell us what scents you used? I am guessing waffle sugar cone and a vanilla ice cream type scent..cotton candy..?

The bottle from Rustic Escentuals is the color. :-) The fragrance is a custom blend.

They are melted down to release fragrance. Similar to how a candle would scent the air but without the flame. Check out the end of the video again as I show it. :-)

They can be added to add a sparkle/shimmer factor but they do not color well.

Your wax melts looks very nice, their color doesn't change, l don't know why but all wax melts and candles l make using colors they get frosted and looks horrible like white, do you have any advice that could help to keep the color? Thank you

Some soy waxes can be super obnoxious about frosting. I do still get a little with this wax but it's not significant. Unfortunately, this wax is no longer on the market so I can't even suggest you try it.

I found that you really need to pay attention to the temperature and you do need to stir in the colors pretty well. it helps a lot, if your mold is not too cold. Try hitting it with a heatgun before pouring and place it on some aluminium wrap

Thanks! Each wax has a recommended pour temperature. I think this one was 150 but I don't even remember anymore. Haha!

Hiya, loved the vid, a newbie to wax melts, and at the risk of sounding silly, whst sprinkles did you use? Regular desert ones? ( I dont know if theyre compatible or not) and would sparky mica powder be okay to use aswell, does the quality matter? For instance i have mica from cheaper sites, would it be safe for use, also in candles and soaps? Sorry for the long comment lol. Hopefully i didnt come off dumb. Anyway hope to hear back from you ☺️

Hello! I just use regular dessert sprinkles. They are so cute on wax melts. When the wax melt (full design) is used, they just stay in the bottom of the wax and don't melt away. Sometimes the color will come off of them though. I only have soap-quality micas so I can't speak to other quality micas. They are typically fine to use in tiny amounts in wax melts but not recommended for candles.

Hi Holly, I have just started making candles and they don’t seem to have enough fragrance throw. Would you please tell me your favorite company to purchase your candle fragrance from? And do you stick to the instructions on usage amounts or can I put a little more in the wax? Thank you for your help.

each type of wax can only hold so much. after that you're just wasting it and potentially screwing up your candles. make sure you're adding your fragrance at 180-185 and stirring for two minutes to fully incorporate it. also the sooner you pour the more scent it retains. also make sure you're curing your candles for the full amount of time recommended before burning. usually 1-3 weeks. unless it's paraffin then a few days.

Aside from the sprinkles, we use products specifically for making wax melts.

Can I give you my 2 cents why I think they turned out different. If you look at how you poured the first batch, you poured some red then blue then red then blue, some yellow. The second time, you poured all the blue, then all the red and then the yellow. You didnt really give it a chance to dry between pours and then overlap the colors again. Still beautiful but I think thats why. LOVE THIS

Each wax will come with instructions on the proper temperature to add color and fragrance.
