Upper and Lower Slaughter are two picture perfect chocolate box villages located in most beautiful region of England - the Cotswolds. Upper and Lower Slaughter villages are renowned for their breathtaking beauty and the honey-colored stone architecture that is typical of the area. Upper Slaughter is a great base for exploring the Cotswolds, with plenty to keep the whole family occupied. There is an incredible manor house, a 16th century church, and numerous galleries to explore. Alongside these stunning sights, you will also find many picturesque walking paths along the meandering River Eye. Lower Slaughter is equally beautiful and a great place to lose yourself in nature. Here you can take a peaceful walk along the river, enjoy an ice cream in the village cafe, or visit the ancient redbrick mill that has been standing here since 1860. Both villages provide an idyllic escape into a tranquil world of nature, history, and traditional English charm.

The slaughters are both double blessed,(no dead in the first or Second World War } how strange with the name of the village.
