I agree. It is nice to "look after what you have" that's such a nice sentiment. I definitely forget to be appreciative sometimes, but I am very lucky to have the life I have. Thanks for the reminder! I have been in therapy for a while now and it's been amazing! I also signed up for an art class (ceramics) and it's really fun so far.

Hi Catherine, your will Power to bring this Barbour Jacket back to life was truly amazing. Seems like the hairdryer played a big part in helping the Wax seep into the material. It looks fabulous now. Yes, maybe a second coat will make it simply stunning. Great idea of taking cuttings from your garden to bring the outdoors indoors, lots of joy and colour to make you smile. X

Ive been quite down since my mom passed and in caring for her I have not given my garden or greenhouse proper attention. Ive starting to feel better and your videos, where go go about your day with your to do list is helping me get back to my routine.

My mum had a tent made of this material. The adults were in a small sleeping tent and me and my brother slept in the wax tent with all the food and supplies. However, she had not waxed it! so it leaked when it rained and I woke up to be floating around on my airbed with tins of baked beans beside me😂

Aaaah good effort with the wax jacket, well done. The process reminded me of using saddle soap to clean and feed the leather on old jackets, bags and sofas. You think "thats a lot", but the old leather is like " AGAIN" 😂 couple of years ago started counselling as I was having anxiety attacks and was very depressed, it help me to identify my triggers, develop coping strategies and learn to say " no" " not today", " haven't the the capacity ". Good for you Catherine ❤

The Barbour jacket suits you, will last and last never dates. Definitely keep.

Regretting not sending it off even momentarily, doesn't seem to match you ;) you chalange yourself in so many areas.. Some of them might be more successful than others but what is most important is that you keep that attidute and continue grow

Your framed flower pictures are fantastic , as are the pencil sketches - way to go, you! I am not familiar with waxed jackets, but wow, it sure looks great with its first coat of wax. Also enjoyed the slow dusting and replanting, must do some of that myself! Laurie

It’s lovely after some wonderful hot sunny weather to hear the sound of rain , it does make you want to cosy up your nest. I had a Barbour coat for years and I loved it but they are quite high maintenance, I used to heat my wax to liquid in a pan of hot water keeping it on a very low heat I then painted the wax on with a paint brush kept for that purpose then leave it to dry in an airy place for a few days. I thought you looked lovely in it a real country girl 👍

I found the coat waxing very satisfying. Cheeky thumbs up! 👍👍👍❤️🌺🌸🐱🐱
