Disney channel shows are very much my comfort show!! plus Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Gilmore Girls, and new fave Abbott Elementary.

The adaptation of Amy Tan's Joy Luck Club was really well done as well. I think it came out in the early 90's.

This was really fun, loved the TV nostalgia!! I loved sister sister too 😊 I am 10 years older than you, but I absolutely loved Moesha as a teen, she was my fave. Also Dawsons Creek and Gilmore Girls are big comfort reads for me. I've watched DC a million times!! SATC, absolutely. Friends! Great video Xx

Lovely Q&A! I find it very refreshing to watch booktubers like you who don’t focus on the number of books being read, like there’s enough pressure already in life! Let’s not compete at reading 😅 I’m definitely one of those who were inspired to start a channel from your newbie video, I had wanted to for a while but I didn’t have the courage. But seeing your video I felt like I didn’t want to wait on life, or how to put it. I felt like let’s just give it a go. Like allow myself to do it for fun. I’m also with you on SATC, I didn’t have the channel it aired on growing up (we were a low tech household haha) and I was too young anyway, but I watched it in my 20s and then again and again. They’re not perfect but that’s kind of the beauty of it for me. I’m not either! 🌸

My first ever concert was Selena Gomez when she was still in Wizard's of Waverly Place. I was 8 or 9 and my girl scout troop went together. I don't remember much about it except that she sang Who Says which is still my favorite song by her all these years later because of that experience.

Oh wow!!!!! That’s amazing! Was she good live? I know she gets a lot of stick online for her social media antics, but I do have a soft spot for Selena. And I LOVE her makeup brand Rare Beauty. Plus I love that she’s an advocate for Lupus and other autoimmune diseases. 🤍

I highly recommend you read some Zadie Smith novels, you will love them! White Teeth is phenomenal, but I would say On Beauty is a similar character-driven vibe to Cleopatra and Frankenstein ❤

Same!!!!! Yeah I think I’ve watched it through all the way only about 5 times, but will watch my fave episodes hundreds of times. I absolutely love it, however some of the episodes haven’t aged well 🙈 Oooh I’ve heard good things about Greys, especially as it’s created by Shonda Rhimes! Same with Desperate Housewives as well. I plan to watch both at some point haha 😜

Yes there’s two seasons for you to catch up on, and they’re filming a third! Brace yourself though, it’s nowhere near as great as the original series. TBH the SATC fandom kind of hates it 😅 Also Samantha didn’t want to come back for it, which is such a shame, but understandable. 😭 She’s really missed and I think that’s why a lot of people don’t like it. She does make a brief cameo in the 2nd season though. But yeah let me know what you think when you get round to watching it. 🤍

The loved the new adaptation of The Color Purple! Still watching, just doing things around my apartment so mostly listening :) I have a channel too :) I don't normally share that in comments, but toward the end you asked ;)
