COSTCO Wiped Them Out! Exploring an Abandoned Neighborhood! - SECURITY ENCOUNTER
Ойын-сауық
In this episode we are exploring an abandoned neighborhood that is slated to be demolished and soon become a Costco.
The future fate for this neighborhood began back in 1998.
Next door to the neighborhood is a large mall which wanted to expand its property and over 20 years started purchasing any plots of land or buildings in its surrounding area.
A $100 million dollar plan was proposed by the mall for expansion and over the years started buying out homes in this little neighborhood.
We found an article about a man who planned to sell his home to the mall and shared his experience.
Their next-door neighbor, an elderly woman, was a holdout. She wanted to live her last days in her home.
The man had agreed to sell his home to the mall for $325,000 but in 2011, he had put down a deposit on a new home to buy when suddenly plans fell through and the mall delayed buying his home. He lost his deposit on the new home since he never received his $325,000 after waiting for a period of time. He then had to return to his home that he already handed over to the mall and had significant repair work to do. He said they had torn things out of their house, since they had a short time to move and it was to be demolished.
The mall allowed him to stay there for up to a year rent and tax free while the mall figured out their issues with the original plan.
The man stated he was never told what plans they had for all the land that they purchased.
Later on he learned about the proposal for a Costco, and he felt it is too intense of a use for something of that size and was worried about the increase in traffic for the area.
Eventually the plan continued on as planned and the man finally found a nice condominium just a couple miles from his old house. He explained that he downsized and is really happy here now.
So in that respect everything worked out well.
Now lets get started with our exploration of this abandoned neighborhood while it still exists.

Until a head or a torso appear then it's game over. Chest freezers in basements I always get a bit nervous when someone decides to open them 🥵😱
Be careful! You don't want to hurt yourself 😔
It's a shame that other people mess up other people homes!! So sad!!! 😢

I've known people to smash up their own homes especially if they've had an eviction notice as a court order. It's not just the vandals even though they are the vile people who basically are thick as arseholes. Who couldn't care less either ☹️
I love the Chuck E Cheese patch on his backpack! I got the same one. If you couldn't tell CEC is my thing haha. I think you guys would love to hear that they're keeping the animatronics at several locations. The locations are Northridge California, Hicksville New York, Pineville North Carolina, and Nanuet New York!
Northeast Mall in Hurst TX bought out the nearby neighborhood in 1997, tore it down for expansion 1999 shops at northeast mall project completed.
Your hair is so beautiful!! That's all I see when I watch your videos, beautiful people with beautiful hair🥰🥰🥰 and those sirens!!!

Must be one of the saddest feelings ever! Imagine seeing in years and nothings happened with it! 😭
What a shame! All those houses where memories were once made. Looking on Google Maps it looked like a really nice place to live back in 2011. Feel sorry for those who were forced out their properties. Great explore guys ❤. Love the abandoned neighbourhood videos ❤️.
Those 5.56 shell casings look like simunition rounds. The local cops/SWAT probably used that neighborhood for training.

Thank you! Agreed it sad to see that over 20 years they’ve plucked people out of these homes one by one
Mild Taco Bell sauce on wall 😅
It looked likeed it was such a quaint neighborhood at one time, with cozy and comfy homes with lots of families memories as you can tell by looking around and at the walls. Real shame the whole neighborhood fell into the clutches of Costco,😢 out of all places to build a retail store???🤔 And POOP 💩😂 Amazing and safe urbex👍

There is an abandoned nursing home near where I live. They let the last resident of the home stay a month after all residents left so she wouldn’t have to relocate because she was so close to passing.
Same of those other Houses definitely seen better days!!!

Furniture pegs
It's a garbage truck.
@urbaxvibes I don’t mind if you show bathrooms but showing what’s inside toilets is crude. I was eating breakfast when you showed that turd.
Apenas digo a minha opinião e nada mais.... O que foi filmado ao minuto -14.00- ...deveria poder ser mostrado mas com a imagem não explícita...imagem "borrada"... Não vejo qual a importância de ser mostrada a imagem real.obg.
