If you want to keep on a budget you can buy the shop card. (For like $100 or whatever denomination.) a nonmember can buy the shop card with a member’s # and can walk in solo without the member. I do that. In USA Costco is 10 mins from home so convenient.

I sometimes find that Costco is very big branded so lacks own brands that are often cheaper, sometimes it can also be wasteful to buy more than you need which I’ve been guilty of in the past, it’s also a lot of plastic packaging like you said which I’m trying to avoid a bit. Just depends on individual circumstances like how big your family is and how much of the items you use, I find it’s very good for store cupboard things like toilet paper and cans. It’s just about being selective and not getting blown away by it and buying everything lol

😥 to long since the last video. I know my daughter has a Costco card will get her to check if they can take a visitor. Being only myself in household, buying in bulk especially some fresh items, I would have wastage. Not being able to eat so many of something. With the toilet paper you said you don't use? I have Bidda can't spell lol. It does cut back on toilet paper by a lot but doesn't eliminate it. Due to covid there has at time been hard to purchase toilet paper but did not concern me yah . But still worth giving Cosco ago. When are you heading on a trip again. My family father's side come from Leicester, would you consider visiting there. We've found the Waters, snacks and fizzy drinks are really cheap. We sometimes get a lift. If not we take 3 buses to get there and back. If we go by bus we take with a buggy to put the shopping on. I usually keep a seeweed packet by my bed.

Money saving tip do not feel trapped by a supermarket points card 👎 You can't get a Costco card just like that there has to be a criteria. This channel is like The Doherty Dozen .

How exactly would low income people afford to shop at Costco lad? Starve for a month? Prices gram per gram are surely better. But because you NEED to buy bulk. You're overall paying much more. Which low income people cannot do

Very true! Costco is only cheaper if you have the money to buy the products in bulk 👌

This is a bit silly Katie. Supermarkets and shops buy their produce in bulk from the wholesaler, as do restaurants and food catering establishments. They then go on to add a mark up on the produce so they can make some money to run their shop. What this seems to say is, which is cheaper, the wholesaler or the retailer. The answer is obvious before you even go shopping. Tesco are not going to sell stuff at the same price they buy it from the wholesaler for. You could argue that you could go to the farmer and buy the same produce that Costco are selling, for half the price. But you would have to buy wheelbarrows full of the stuff. The real key to all of this, is go to Costco and try and buy 250g of tomatoes. Or one can of baked beans. You can't. My argument is that Costco is not environmentally friendly because it encourages customers to buy more than they need. Particularly with perishable goods, it is very likely that a household will throw half of what they bought away, simply because they cannot eat 2kg of tomatoes before they go off.

Hi Mark, thanks for your comment. Yes I agree Katie is very silly 😂👌 You make some good points to think about :) Also I don't know about others but we never waste any food, if you're going to buy fresh food in bulk it's better to do it with a friend so nothing is wasted - Bob :)
