Love powder, as it's more economic and cleans better. If it's staining clothes, you're using way too much. Most people tend to use way more than needed for both powder and liquid. Powder will stain. Liquid will make your clothes reek of the scent or feel waxy/oily. Just don't use so much and make sure detergent goes first before clothes so it dissolves and doesn't stain by just sitting on top of the clothes. I'll never be going back to liquid.

Powder is my go to for sure. I'm guilty of using too much. I have found thee saying less is more to be true. Plus I'm trying to be more frugal these days so I have been using no more than is needed.

@@zaevlogs3202 it gets all my oil and diesel soaked work clothing very clean. One of the only detergents I can find that also removes the strong oil smell. I also use the Kirkland liquid fabric softener and the Kirkland dryer sheets. I love the combination.

The liquid softener sucks in my experience. The scent is a bit sickly and it always leaves a great sludgy residue in my softener comparatment

If you guys are having a problem with the powder staining your clothes , I would recommend the liquid version. It has that SCENT that you guys are looking for, it does not stain your clothes, and the smell sticks in your clothes.

You can put the powder when the washer is filling up where the water is coming out before the clothes and it will dissolve and when is almost half of water then you put the clothes.

Honestly, this Kirkland detergent reminds me of the Berkley Jensen (the BJ's brand for household goods) powder detergent and now I'm wondering if they're one and the same.

On my front loader it was great and cheap but once I moved to another home I bought a Maytag washer dryer and I would always get clogged drains long story short after trying everything to prevent the plumbing issue it boiled down to the soap not dissolving fully and caking up in the drains smh 1K in plumbers later just to find out from myself what the issue was..

We used this detergent for a while at our house. Although it is a good value, it started leaving white patches/stains on our dark clothes whether we used a little or a lot. We stopped getting the stains once we switched to another brand. I think they were caused by an interaction with the hard water or the fabric softener. I still recommend people try it to see if it works for them though.
