Lots of villages around zurich within 20 to 30 min commute by public trans, bern to zurich monthly pass around 300 chf per month, one way without any discount card around 30 chf.

They are both same, but Zürich is one of the best cities to live in the world acc to some studies, geneva apartment prices are crazier.
