cost of living in Madagascar 2022

how much I spend to live in Madagascar per month as a foreign that travels to the UK once a year and over seas to Kenya/ South Africa or Thailand every 5 months total costs for me to live a nice life comes to about £1500 or $2000 per month this is split up 55% flights, travel, visa's, my personal living costs, gifts & doctors then 45% family household living costs.
to live a very basic life with Madagascar residents could be done for as little as $500 by living in a beach hut, eating the local cuisine and getting about on the local transport this can be a sweet way to live life imo however if you like to live like a king going out and about in you're new 4x4, having staff to look after you and your big 4 bed house with you're partner and kids you will be looking at about £2250 or $3000 per month.

    Thanks for the airline reviews on another video. There's also an Italian airline, Nios, which flies Rome to Nosy Be weekly but it is fairly expensive, like Air France. Plus you have to get from the UK to Rome. South African Airways also worth considering but need to get to Joburg on BA or Virgin. Thanks for Turkish Airlines ... didn't know about them.

    Interesting breakdown of costs as I’m long term UK visitor to Thailand & noticed a few Madagascan ladies of the night working in Pattaya over the yrs….always thought how beautiful they are as well as the island there looks stunning. Got a great house location there too. Always thought the infrastructure & the local,language being the biggest barriers. How do you deal with the electricity issues in madagascar? I was in madagascar this past june at the hotels wasnt an issue. • @passivenomads

    @passivenomads

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi Charlie yes it's a real pain the problem is that the directors of the electricity company like to make extra money by stealing the gasoline ⛽️ to sell on the black market so they then have to turn the generators off for a 12 hour period. It's not all the time but it can be 2 or 3 times a month I deal with it by exepting that that's how it is in Madagascar and go to bed at 8am instead of the planed 11pm Solar panels is the way to go if you own you're own house but there are thefts of the panels sometimes
