was on vacation in luxembourg about a month ago, i didnt find it more expensive, sometimes even cheaper then the Netherlands, where i live.

Yes, that’s actually true.. some things are cheaper than other places too.. most famously gas (petrol), cigarettes, alcohol etc..
Housing is very expensive in Luxembourg, and some services are pricey as well. But when it comes to "everyday items" such as grocery, it's about the same prices as in neighboring countries. And fuel is cheaper; as I live in 'the other Luxembourg", i.e. the Belgian province of the same name, and a 20-minute drive to the Grand-Duchy, I have not filled in the tank of my car on my side of the border for years...

True, gas is cheapest (in EU) in Luxembourg i believe. Housing is expensive and shopping in general is expensive. Aldi is one of the ‘value for money’ stores and the prices there are very reasonable

I''m actually quite shocked at these prices! They are much cheaper than in the US. I would actually be saving a bunch of money living in the Grand Duchy.

I thought Luxembourg was expensive but actually it isn't. It is more expensive than France, where I live but much more cheaper than my native Spain

No kids, yet.. also it is not a comprehensive budget as some grocery items we buy monthly, some weekly.. but for a couple an estimate of 120-150 EUR per week for grocery would be a good ballpark..

Just English is okay for like 20% of the jobs.. rest 80% would require French as well.. more than just the language, finding a job that is willing to sponsor a visa (work permit) can be challenging.. all the best
