    Mmm that’s quite high electric bill, obviously the Aircon is most of it. Here in Thailand Jomtien in my 48sqm condo it’s around $20 a month including water. I’am on the coast so don’t ever need to use the Aircon, just a fan! Nice place, I liked Kampot a lot 😎

    I will try and answer your expense stuff in a video. I left Siem Reap as it is a tourist town and with covid cases continuing to jump the city faces more and more restrictions. For me it just wasn't a nice place to be any more. I have a duke but most motos in decent shape will run you between 800 and 1200 with license plate and card included. Medical care is tolerable and medications you can literally just go to the pharmacy and buy whatever you need for very little money.

    Hi Jon. I have just found your channel. I'm nearing retirement and I really line the loom of Kampot. Can I ask your opinion of the city?

  • @JonAbroad

    @JonAbroad

    2 жыл бұрын

    Kampot is more of a town than a city (in my opinion) so it's a little slower here than say Siem Reap or Phnom Penh. There are some things that are harder to find here but it has pretty much everything you'd want here. The food selection is amazing whether on a budget or you want a really nice meal. Plenty of options here. I enjoy the breeze that is always coming through. Kampot is also much greener that SR or PP. I hope this answers your question. Feel free to ask anything else that may come to mind. Thanks for watching!

    The electric rate is high compared to the US at 25 cents per kWh. Depending how much you use your aircon, how many you have and how much space you are trying to cool. Everything else here is LED and doesn't use much juice at all.

  • @JonAbroad

    Absolutely. My video sizes range but typically around 9gb that I send up to KZread. It takes a little bit of time so I would suggest uploading and going to get something to eat and come back to it. I find it takes longer for KZread to process the 4K video than it does to upload it. I have a SMART@home router that just takes a sim card and that is plenty. I can stream 4K with it as well.

    So $280/mo due to covid. I guess if covid continues, and somehow people can get to Cambodia that number would be relevant. I'm seeing a lot of videos by people saying how cheap rent is in several SE Asia countries. But this is really misleading. Rents are low because foreigners can't get there. Catch-22.

They also informed me that on other charge to be paid by you except air ticket. My inquiry is, how much money to be spend for air ticket from Bangladesh to Cambodia right this pandemic situation ?
