😊 Thank you
Perseverance. Muscles. Blisters. It all builds character. You all won! Congratulations.
We've lived here for 24 years and the concrete septic tank was here and connected to an old mobile home. I;m guessing it's at least 30 or 40 years old. Just keep heavy weight away from the tank after installation, like cars, trucks, tractors, etc... We've also only paid once to have the tank emptied after living here right at 20 years and it was mostly liquid so it probably didn't even need cleaned out to be honest.
It cost a lot but you have a working toilet now and you have water.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😉👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏💕💕💕💕❤❤❤😊😊😊
You guys did awesome! Besides the actual real money you saved, you also have to remember the tremendous value of knowing what you have. Not to mention the value of the DIY skills learned that can be applied to both maintenance, and other projects down the road. GOOD JOB!
$8,500 no bad!! Job well done!! Kids are adorable as always. Can’t wait to see your next project!!
I’ve enjoyed every video! I’m living vicariously through you doing what I’d love to do (if I were 20 years younger)! Thank you, as always, for sharing your adventures and your family with all of us! Looking forward to the next project! ❤
I was very glad, to see this project successfully finished ! It was a little stressful just watching you guys. That was a lot of work. And I give you a great deal of respect for accomplishing it ! All of your kids, did so much to help…You have a Great Family !!
$8,500 is an excellent price given the rock issues you ran into. Excellent job. The knowledge that it was done right is invaluable. Thanks for sharing the details.
It’s your personalities and perseverance that really make these videos. Congrats on the amazingly hard work involved and the spirit it takes to tackle these projects. Still so impressed with your solar build!
It may have cost $8500 but it is a million-dollar septic system. 😍😍😍Congratulations on a job well done.
y'all will always look back on this project with pride. i am getting ready to do the same thing in the ozarks , hope i dont have the boulders yall had
Perseverance to an art form! What a fight to get that last trench dug. Flush on!
enjoyed every minute of your build and I hope the next phase goes well.
Can't wait to see you get started on your new home, regards from Calgary Canada
I’m glad that you finish. Thanks for inspiring us to work with the family. Your kids are a blessing for me. God bless you and your family.
I am happy for all of you! Have a wonderful 4th of July holiday.
Can’t wait for the next projects. 😊
To be precise, you STILL have to tie the main house into the septic system, but obviously, that is pretty much negligible in terms of materials cost and the labor will be part of the foundation prep in any case. Now that I know the cost per yard on the gravel, I concede that buying a jaw crusher isn't necessarily the best purchase, especially since you'll be able to haul your own gravel from here on out. I'm sincerely hoping that Jacob has a set of rough drawings/plans showing all the components of the septic system for the eventual repairs/maintenance.
Hey good morning you guys hope you guys are having a good time hey I'm glad you got that part done now you guys got a bathroom now you need to build a house 🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏡 have a good day😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
You did an AWESOME job and WOW alot of dang Boulder! Always Love watching you guy's! Love your family! God Bless y'all!
Thanks for the update.
Just watched this video, thanks for all the updates. Your boulders look like lava, ours here in new england are more rounded. If you watch Lumnah acres, in N.H. you will see BIG boulders, they put in their own septic system .
Congratulations on the completion of the septic
Thanks for the cost info. Your work...priceless. You did the work, no short cuts, hope it will last a long time.
You cant count the welder cause that was a mothers day gift, Hee Hee!
Thanks for all the info. You are getting it done. That is what counts. See you on your next visit to us.
Happy that you're done.

Thanks for the video! I really appreciate your channel, you're a nice family and I learn a lot. Congratulations friends!
Nice job. It looks like your bucket is invisible just like mine and just as hard :)
Great time. What a project. Great determination. What an accomplishment. Love the takes at the end....the kids are awesome....even the big one named Jacob 😅
Interesting presentation! I have a septic tank and of course I know where it's located, but I have no idea how far the leach lines extend.
Another great experience down! Congrats and enjoy that toilet!!
I think you all did a amazing job keep it going can’t wait to start watching the house build
Great job guys! So happy for you that it’s done! I look forward to the next project!
That’s a great price y’all! Great job
Here is a tip for if the backo is your own weld the teeth on they will last many years without problems you have the equipment to DIY it.
Informative video. Well done guys:)
👍👍
Oops forgot to proofread ( not bad)

We're still waiting on the architect. Seems to be taking his time. Then after that, our plans need to be reviewed and approved by the county. We're still hoping to start building later this summer. Maybe fall 😥.
Thanks for the breakdown on your septic system!
So glad I found your video! I am going to be doing the same thing here in a couple months.
This is the first time I'm watching your channel did you have to buy a generator along with that welder,
@aboulderlifeoffgrid

No generator to run it. Our solar system puts out 240 volts so we can run large appliances. Thanks 🙂
That was a great video and showing the process.
Videos like this are so helpful

Awesome job!! ♥️👍🏼♥️😁
Just a thought, hind sight is 20/20, why not just dig a spot further down and roll the big rocks into the holes so you don't have to remove them?
Great recap! Congratulations.

Is this Arizona? It’s gotta be Arizona. I swear there isn’t any dirt in Arizona. It’s all rock.

It sure is 😅
You gotta figure the whole total system with electrical and everything probably cost you around 9005. Is what I'm saying because I was kind of watching close? You got. Around? Ten thousand dollars total and everything
👍
Great video with so much helpful information!!! How long did the project take from the day you first broke ground after perc tests?
@aboulderlifeoffgrid
26 күн бұрын
About 12 weeks, but that's mostly because of how rocky the ground was.

Where were you able to purchase the cement septic tank please????
@aboulderlifeoffgrid
21 күн бұрын
It's called Perkins Precast.
Can you start excavating the tank hole after the perc test or do you have to wait for the permit?
@aboulderlifeoffgrid
Ай бұрын
As long as where you're digging the hole for the tank matches where they are putting it on the plans/permit. Then I'd say dig on. Thanks 🙂
@embededfabrication4482
Ай бұрын
@@aboulderlifeoffgrid but you can't get the permit til u have the perc test. They make you have to bring in equipment twice which really hurts if you are remote area. I'm getting a design from my peec test guy too. I might risk it and dig before I get the permit but I'll probably need the excavator a second time anyway unless I backfill by hand. I got a quote for $7500 installed. I think I can do it for $5000 renting equipment, maybe not. The concrete tank is $1700
Where did you purchase the cement tank from?

Did you consider an aerobic system? Lots less work.
@aboulderlifeoffgrid

We hadn't heard of an aerobic system before, but it looks like they are more expensive to install and maintain.

You have to factor in the hours on the backhoe. Just because you own it, it isnt free. Also have to pay your labor hours. You did it for the same cost as your lower priced installer pretty much.
🎂😍
Huh. Here in rural colorado mountains a new septic by professionals is $60-80k. Diy will be around $10k-20k.
You had to pay 'WHAT' for some overpaid bureaucratic hack to sign a piece of paper giving you 'permission' to dig your own hole in your own property, so you didn't have to go outside to pee, [$300.00] WTF ???????????
