Tempered glass window is for security matter like fire outbreak actually better but buglar windows on the first floor is a good idea.. So a mix of both will be my preference

Hello guys, good topic. My wife and i have also debated the topic of burglar proof bars. We saw an option of using tempered glass windows. The only thing is that they cost quite a lot

@@regularjoe98 I do not have any cost estimates at the moment but i also saw it on Natural girl's chanel and thought it will be a good idea as it improves the curb appeal of the house.

This is interesting. On the other hand if you have tempered glass although it gives better curb appeal, is it not also more attractive to the burglars? Especially if they initially suspect its normal glass. they come around and then attack the corners of the tempered glass which is the weak point?

@@kingstal90 Having the tempered glass is in addition to the other security features in the house. It should take a lot of effort to break that glass and if all that noise does not wake you up, then....

Any thoughts on escape route in case of fire when the entire house is burglary proof. As I have heard people died because of fire outbreak not being able to escape due to the burglary proof. Are there burglary proof that could be used just incase of fire. Or do you think on the balance of probability static burglary proof is ideal. Your thoughts will be appreciated

Thanks. We have two different means of escape on the ground floor. Although I do see your point, especially if the entire ground floor is on fire. Well go to roof and wait to be rescued. God Forbid !

Never thought about this, however i think this is were practical thinking is vital. 1. Get a fire Sys and alarm in different rooms. 2, Get fire blankets and fire extinguishers around the house. 3. create a fire escape that leads to the main compound, well lit

Thanks for this point, Richard. I've always wondered why the window ones can't be made such that you can open and jump out in case of danger. Even as a layman, I can see ways that can be done. I don't know why we're so one way. We don't want to experiment at all. Eg, I asked my foreman why they don't like building the pillars first before laying the blocks, which looks stronger for me in the the case of a storey. His excuse is that the pillars won't hold the blocks well in that case. But can't the pillars be moulded such that they can hold the blocks? I asked. He just kept giggling.

You may need a moat full of crocs, and have a drawbridge you can put down and pull back up when you come & go! But seriously, it sounds like you've got adequate layers of security. Just don't tell EVERYONE what and where you've got it all! Some industrious thief may take it as a challenge and bring exactly the equipment needed to circumvent everything.. knowing you'll then make them famous by posting their exploits to KZread.. Some might prefer the notoriety over the loot, even! Lol.. human nature is odd sometimes.
