I notice you still Jump the gun (forgive the pun) when it comes to upgrades. To get the most out of your Serdiuks, you need upgrade them from the cossack house before you give them the additional damage from the Academy. as the percentage only applies to their current damage, it will not add the percentage to the damage gained by upgrades from the cossack house afterward. This upgrade trick also applies to all non bayonet musketeers and Dragoons. So if you want to get the most from your shooters, Upgrade them fully from their production building before you add the Academy upgrades (You can however research the shot speed whenever you can). Serdiuks Cap at 78 Damage per shot, which is still A lot.

they have two good18th century units. First is the grenadier, that cost gold and food, pretty standard but cost only two kind of resources. The second is the long range musketeer, he cant use bayonet attack but have the longest range. Prussia have an edge in late game against low tech nation like algeria, turks and ukraine who dont have access to 18th century unit.

ukrainian faction sucks at late game play since they dont have 18th century tech. They also have the worst navy so only playable on open map which good for calvalry. not good on map with water or peace time which prevent rushing.

Ukraine in this game is best and in real life its the poorest country in europe
