That Dumpster LIFE son!
I have a suggestion: You can order TV masks online, but without a light up screen. (Look up TV masks online, and it should show up.) If you ordered one of those, you could just put the monitor in, and skip a few steps. It might be a bit more costly (I don’t really wanna check), but it is safer, because you don’t have to remove any TV guts. I guess there's pros and cons whichever way you do it, though.
I wanna see Erik wear it to Burning Man this year and report back!

use a gel battery not a ledacid! Those produce gas out and aren't suitable for indoor (in tv!) use!

can't beat the price and it's being used as ballast but I agree: erik you're poisoning yourself faster than regular life by enclosing your head with that thing. you'd be better off with an antigravity motorcycle battery or those meant for drones.

I got suggested this after watching a internet day episode about someone running around a suburb wearing one of these putting TVs on everyone's porch😂
Nice to have you back on KZread.
Only a true object head fan would spend their life in that ;-; too bad, I don't have the guts, to do that.

This is extremely similar to how I built my Prince Robot IV head a few years ago. I really should have made a 'how I did it' video... and also should have made a 'tearing it apart' video because I ended up throwing the whole thing out recently. But yeah, I used an old LCD TV from eBay for the screen, batteries in back helped counterweight, had success with a motorcycle helmet on the inside to keep it attached, raspberry pi for playback.. I even used that exact same little wireless keyboard thing you have at 3:06.

@@nekowarigaming Shoot, missed this comment. I used a 12v UPS battery to power the TV and some other 12V devices I had in the helmet
@djlemma

@@thatboikhy 12V battery connected to automotive power inverter that turned the 12VDC into 120VAC, and I plugged the TV into the inverter. It was not a good setup and I don't think others should do it that way. It was heavy and actually rather dangerous... having 120V connections right next to your face isn't exactly ideal.

I’m building one too. My old TV was one that had a built-in VCR. I chose this so I could use the VHS slot as a Window for my Parascope
SHOTS FIRED!!!
I've been wanting to know how to make one of these for a while, and you made it the first new diy. Good show, ole chap.
This is great! Its so awesome to see you guys back and better than ever. I can't wait to see whats in store for you guys and the channel.
Wow! already you guys are improving greatly! Its so good to see this channel back. The spirit and the drive is definitely present here. Keep up the good work!
YES! I'm so happy Indy Mogul is back at it. I used to love this channel so much and now its back with some great stuff.
Really well done, guys! Huge improvement over the first video! This video had character, a detailed step-by-step way of showing the build, and the classic Indy Mogul humor! Loving the content thus far, looking forward to the next vid!
so happy these guys are back
So glad you guys are back.
i've been trying to make something very much like this for a friend who wants to go to a convention with me but is really anxious. this video really helped. thank you.
Loving this new format! I notice the improvements from last ep! WOO keep it up Erik!

Nice to see you guys again
3:48 That's the battle damage cart! Loved that show!
A periscope is a neat and cheap solution. Micro LCDs cost hundred of money
You sound a lot more fun in this one! Honestly, I'm loving all of your new content and it's new, professional yet classy look. Keep it up guys!
Awesome video! The computer portion was a bit over my head, but I love how you insulated the TV to get it onto your head.
This is so epic, really nice tutorial, so glad Indy Mogul is back.
ALL OF THE FEELS! I'VE MISSED THIS SO MUCH!
This is on the right track I feel like this is like a old episode funny , easy , and just a good idea
Love it! Great to see that you are back making videos!
I am so happy that you are back. Like so so happy.
This was amazing! So glad Indy Mogul is back :)
LOVE IT, Erik. The new style of the show is great, and well paced. I laughed out loud several times too. Keep it up man.
Awesome dude! We had a old TV. I will try this in summer!

Super dope build. This is way more advanced than the old BFX, at least as I remember it, and that's not a bad thing!!
I really enjoyed this, I like going on you tube and seeing Erik's face. Brings back memories haha. Keep up the good work.
This is exactly the tutorial I needed!

I’m building one to wear at Incredible Con. I’m using one of those TV sets that had a built-in VCR for mine, so I can use the VHS slot as the Window for my Parascope
This is exactly what I needed! I love Prince Robot and wanted to figure out how to do this.
Whoa I had no idea that thing was so functional. Nice work Erik!
This was so awesome, keep it up.
I have been a fan of Backyard FX for years!
Dang, Erik. No wonder you're my hero! That's awesome! Also love the SHOTS FIRED :)
OH DAMN! THE FILM RIOT SHADE THROWING!
Thank you so much for making this video!!!! Also Saga is amazing😁👌
That sounds insanely difficult. Glad you succeeded!
THEM SHOTS FIRED YO!!!!
i freaking love/loved this show. i can't build anything so right now i'll just watch the episodes to help get the views/watch time necessary, plus maybe in the future i can call back to this (like i know if i need to build fake glass or human guts i can find it here). i'm really glad i didn't unsubscribe and i'm also really glad a show from my past came back.
Man! It's good to see you back! And this shit is high quality!
Wow awesome Video!
Love that call out at Film Riot

Briliant! Stuff!Love! It!
You guys are awesome! The film riot burn had me laughing for a good while
Holy shit this episode was awesome, great to have you guys back!! :D
I recognise that see-through container! At 3:49 that's the rig used for Battle Damage! Your slow motion show :D
Hi! I was wondering if you guys could do a video on some armor builds. I'm planning a Red Hood and Blue Lantern cosplay and I need some help in trying to figure out on how to achieve this. Glad to see these build videos are back! Missed your guys stuff!
That intro gave goosebumps
Very awesome video. Tv heads are getting somewhat popular in the cosplay community. :) I even made my own tutorial. but its a bit old. Im glad i seen this. Love the tech stuff.
I always wanted to make a tv head for my cosplay that works, thank you!
