"Cosmopolis" director David Cronenberg in Studio Q

Ойын-сауық

www.cbc.ca/Q
David Cronenberg's latest feature film, "Cosmopolis", bears some striking resemblances to our current economic and social turmoil. It stars Robert Pattinson as a young billionaire, hermetically sealed off from the turbulent world around him.

This film, it's style, it's approach is a world unto itself. Yes, the end feels more like a play, but what a play. And that car..................

Still the most underrated of the greats and still the greatest of the underrated. There is always something to take away from a Cronenberg film because they explore a subject of common interest, plus...they are exciting and risky.

The majority of the interview consisted of questions regarding your silly, irresponsible attempt at making my original comment look as though it was in regards to a real interview that took place between himself and I. Would you like to elaborate on your question in an attempt to make some sort of sense of it?

I was very struck by the FEEL of this film. It didn't look like any other film, and it had this curious quality unlike any other film I'd seen. I thought it was at a Kubrick level. I'm surprised that car never made it as a model kit.

I felt like RP was a computer program that f up somewhat and showed that progress in for a future based on this model can’t work long term , it needs human error, or will fail and of course we need to look inside and not external to find where WE fail.

When David mentions the trip back in time for Robert to get his haircut as also a trip back to his father, I got this notion of the film that will be made about Trump coming from the point of view of Don Jr.
