Ladies, it’s the 1930’s and you’re a kid sent to the English countryside for safety purposes. You spend your days imagining that you’re a woodland royal and free of responsibility and worry. Suddenly, one day a man dressed in shabby looking, brightly colored clothes emerges from the woods and sings this song. You have met the Faerie King of the Wild Wood.

I would still wear my best smile and curtsy in my sea-blue dress, wildflowers adorning my loosely braided hair. I would look the King in the eyes and say, "You've placed yourself in my garden and now you'll dance to my tune, or I'll clip off your wings and wear them as my own"

It's a creative process of different styles of music, it shows the carelessness of a child and trying to bring that too his or her adulthood fighting the seriousness of the normal adult world, "greed, anger, and boredom" as almost working and trying to get as much money as you want but being fired and you give up saying "your journey never ends" as you drag on in your life catching "a rare specimen" which may be happiness from their youth, and cuddling up to a nervous skeleton shows they are embracing deaths touch

In case anyone is curious, the lines “March with me and the borogoves, come with me and the slithy toves” is a reference to a poem called, “The Jabberwocky” by Lewis Carroll, writer of Alice in Wonderland.

I always listen to this song when I come galumphing back. 🙂
This song honestly sounds like something that would be in a play or musical, and that's why I love it so much. I hate musicals usually, but this sounds like it would be in one of the few musicals i love.
This song just helped me come up with a possible plot point for the fantasy au fanfiction in this series I'm writing ..... Lmao I wanna spill it somewhere so: It's like - I feel like I've heard of a group of creatures called "The Humdrum" in a story I've read in the past. Sooo what if the creatures in my story are these ones that are known as The Humdrum? And since they're so secretive the only things that people know about them is that they're incredibly powerful and possibly malicious. And at the beginning of the story my protagonists are given the task of solving a problem and they think The Humdrum are the cause of it - like, they think these creatures are the ones disrupting the flow of magic or they're kidnapping children or something idk yet - but when they do find them, they find out that The Humdrum are, in fact, partially the cause of all this but not entirely and that the real evil - the very *root* of the problem - is something much more mundane but that much more sinister. Along the way they also learn that these creatures not particularly interested in being malovalent, they just function by their own rules and humans sometimes get in the way of that. To their chagrin, the protagonists find themselves reluctantly relying on these creatures to lend them aid.

Nope. Pentatonix.
If you guys can’t tell by the Erie vibe this song gives off- there’s something darker to it. In the beginning you here catch a heffalump- that’s a mythical creature from Winnie the Pooh- so its basically saying come come come come come along now run away from the hum-drum which is the siren of someone being kidnapped. So it’s hinting that Ronnie the Pooh stole him from his home and used childish fun things to keep him there.. I’m hopes he’d never find out the truth. Yep and all the characters are also based off disorders :/ yep dark stuff-
everyone's talking about how it's like alice in wonderland, but I think of this like when you're first introduce to witchcraft, and it's a jumble and a little bit of a mess, but it's so cool and it's beautiful too
This song has now been added to my spotify playlist, I created my own world in my head and idk why I'm even commenting this but I am so yeah- :>

Happy to!!! 😃
I get Good Omens vibes from this ?? Especially the line ‘ the end is nigh ‘
This song makes me want to go out and do something but its literally 1 am so I cant... TwT I usually listen to this before i sleep because it encourages good dreams! The issue is, this song is motivating for me (Not sure why though..) so its hard to sleep.
This is the most awesome song I have ever heard
I imagine when I hear this a man gathering up children with mental disorders and special abilities to a land where time in in your control and when your you sent to this place you can express your powers with no limitations and kids like you never grow but or age but when you reach 1000 you turn to dust and you ability goes to another child at birth and you turn into a moon flower Wich is just a flower that glows at day and turns in to anything at night Yeah something wrong with me

Me suggesting this song to my choir director after hearing it for the 100th time today
Love this song
Pov: at the end of the world a cult leader comes and sings this to you to persuade you to come with him to survive

this sounds like a song i'd imagine faeries using in an attempt to lure people away- i'd follow it- and hum along as i follow the music- UwU i wanna be a fae goblin instead of a normal human goblin- cuz that'd be so cool- OvO
THIS SONG MAKES ME SO HAPPY IDK WHY BUT IT DOES!
This is a masterpiece
