I completely agree! I found out about him less than a year ago and I can't believe it took me so long to discover his work. I've always been a fusion guy and have considered Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock two of the greatest musical minds that ever existed. After finding Corey Henry while listening to Lingus by Snarky Puppy, I've added Corey to that list. You know how good someone is by how often they make you laugh at the ridiculousness of something they just did. I consider his solo in Lingus to be the greatest demonstration of improvisational genius I have ever heard. Corey Henry is not human, he was definitely put on this planet by a far superior civilization.
