Corte Madera (4,657') and Los Pinos (4,805') mountains in San Diego County

This is a pleasant hike in the San Diego County backcountry. It can get hot out here but the weather on December 9 was very pleasant. Surprisingly, for a Saturday, there was hardly anyone else. The days were short though and we didn't get an early start but we still managed to return to our car before dark.
We met a couple of rock climbers who planned to rappel down the cliff face and then do a 5-pitch climb. They started even later than us. If we were doing what they were doing we'd have no chance of getting back to the car before dark unless we'd already climbed the route, which they hadn't. We never were the fastest climbers.
