Thanks man, will be so excited for getting this new PC in like 3-4 weeks. :D
yes it does i have this case it fits very nicely
OMG THE SONG IN THE END WHAUAHAHA SO EPIC XD 1+ YOU GOT GUTS I LOVE IT HAHAHA
Very informative vid, helped me alot in deciding how to best cool my i7 920, which is now starting to need a slight overclock ( i've been using it stock speed since 2009) What clock speed are you able to get using this cooler?
Thanks man :) What CPU and case do you have? I have not experienced any leaks, the cooler is quite robust. I've even left the radiator hanging a few times when I took out the cooler to clean my case, it's quite strong :) Thank you for subscribing!
Thanks for the video.. I'm looking at getting one of these, only because the tabs keep breaking on the ice-pipe type fan mounting brackets. The latest bracket lasted 1 day! And, I took all the tension out of the clip, thinking that would help, but the latest clip was hollow plastic, not solid.
Lol! Love that soudtrack at the end of the vid.
Right up twoard the radiator :D Nice handy work more fun this way :)
It should fit fine!
Awesome! I currently do have a 120mm fan on the side of my case. I had set it up to push air out of the case but now that you mention this and I think about it, would it be more beneficial to have it intake? Thanks for the reply. :)
You sir are a man of great taste I must say. I had the Antec 900 (lovely case perfect sound and great cooling), but upgraded to 1100 which is about the same but bigger obviously. I picked the Corsair K60 keyboard instead since I dont need any Macro buttons and I'm getting the H80i cooler. :)
Thank you! :) I will a going to get a full tower next time ;) What case have you got?
I have install it with a friend, it's a very a good liquid cooler, and very beautiful (french spotted). Thanks for answered, :)
Thanks :D I'm using Corsair's K90 mechanical keyboard and Logitech's G5. I recently upgraded my mouse to G700S and will uploadd an unboxing of it soon :)
luv da case mod
riznrik thanks for the video...i have one question...do you know if H80i could be installed on a mid tower case like -Thermaltake Tsunami VA3000BWA-? thanks in advance :D
great video
Excellent, finally someone who mounts their H80i correctly, now ive been watching all these so called professional reviews where everyone mounts them with the hoses on top instead of bottom as supposed to pr Corsair recommendations for optimal performance :)
do you think i should use the fans that come with the pump or use SP120s themselves?
Just finished installing my H80i last night. Turns out that the side of the case won't attach because the fan mount hits the radiator haha. So, obviously I can't use a fan on the side of the case, but I was able to take the fan mount off and then attach the side of the case back on. Running really cool now! Thanks for the video and help!
It does, good luck figuring out how to use it
What keyboard and mouse are you using? Looks pretty awesome!
I don't know why your vid got this many dislikes. Great video, thanks!
Yes It should fit that case with no problem.
Thank you!! I presume you are talking about the exhaust fan. One fan should be screwed onto the radiator blowing air in and a second fan blowing out to the back of the case.
There are two types of stand off screws in the package, the shorter screws on the ends I think are for socket 2011 and the double headed screws which go on the back plate.
I got a Fractal Design XL case, it heavy (30kg) but really huge. Its a great case!
I was waiting for my new Noctua fan, so I have 2! :)
Hi, I didn't understand what you mean. You screwed the standoffs on to the backplate, and then installed the pump with the front plate with the thumbscrews. The cooler doesn't touch the CPU? Make sure to screw them fully. Which socket motherboard do you have? What computer case?
That's bad ass! What temps do you get?
would this fit well in a Cooler Master CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced Mid Tower case? I think it's pretty cool and nice vid btw =)
Awesome man, hey. I'm getting this CPU cooler since I'm gonna do some OCing. Would you recommend this? And have you experienced any leaks or anything? Thanks in advance. Earned a new sub, pal.
Hey, i have the Fx 9370 CPU being delivered to my house within the next week but im not too sure what cooler would be suitable for it due the the high 220w would the corsair h60 be ok or should i pay a bit more and get this? Thanks
nice ending song XDDD great video but just one question that I didn't catch in the video is what is the CPU you using??
Can the H80i fit in the obsidian 650D with an asus maximus vii gene motherboard inside?
What type of motherboard is that that you have.and will that type of fan the corsair h80i fit on a z97 hd3 rev 2.0 board. Especially.when the case is really small to make matters worse
good job!
does it come with liquid coolant already inside of it? or do you have you add your own?
In-taking fresh cold air from outside the case is the best way to drop temperatures on this CPU cooler. It will bring dust in straight from the back but that's a sacrifice you have to deal with, unless you have good fan filters. I have a large 200mm fan on the top of my case which exhausts hot air so it's not a problem for me. In some cases without top exhaust is a bad idea to have the intake from the back as it will fight with the airflow in the case.
i have the h80i and pluged in the fans i got with it but looks like the CPU still has 33 celsius, should i change the fans or update the firmware ?
does the SATA connector on the cooler plug straight into the SATA plugs oin the motherboard, e.g where the hard drive plugs in?
I was wondering whether this will fit into an Thermaltake armour revo gene? I have an intel i5 4670K so yea...
I've just installed my H80i onto my ASRock Z77 extreme4, I noticed as well that the backplate was too lose, once you mount the standoffs to the backplate you're able to push the standoffs in and out, they're not tightly fastened to the board. I am running my H80i now but I can see the temps drop if I push down on the cooling block with my hand, its not making great contact with the CPU. I am going to try buy some more washers to tighten the backplate...
um so you mounted the radiator on your rear case fan? I have a syclone star cruiser case and im worried that radiator might not fit.
nice vid , nice outro
when you install this do you but the back plate on the outside of the case?
Is the H80i compatible with AM3 socket, i have one, and i'm not sure if i can use it on my motherboard, i have the asus M5A97. Thanks to answer :)
Awesome, thanks :).
Hey, what do you mean you have 33 celcius? What temperature were you getting before? Are you talking about your previous CPU cooler?
juz LOL for the music at the end
Yes it will be enough, just one 3 pin and one SATA power connection :) It comes with two 3 pin connectors which connect directly to the pump and the pump has one 3 pin that needs to be connected to the motherboard if you wish to monitor your pump speed.
Can i have the link to the song at the end ?
I think you can fit a corsair 100i in your case, it's a little bit more expensive but I would say its worth it. Especially if you are going for such a high OC. I would recommend changing the stock fans as they can get very loud.
I'm planning on making that same cutout for the CPU except you made it look like more work than it needed to be. A Dremel would have made that job much easier.
@riznrik

Yup, because I don't have a Dremel tool. lol
Hmm. How is your h80i running? Originaly when my h80i was on a quiet mode profile the fans made noise, but after the update the noise is reduced substantially. If you don't have any problems with your h80i it's not essential to get the firmware update.
Dude, then i won't need to use 2 3-pin connectors on my mobo? Will it be enough with the CPU fan connector and the SATA power connector?
Will it fit in the Corsair Obsidian 650D?
hey man, I just got the h80i. am I the only one who get a bit confused about the stand off screws? both pictures in the install guide looks the same.. any advise?
Does this fit in the back of mid towers if i put the fan then rad? i have a diablotek evo
Thank you! :)
I use 2 fans because they are running at 5 volts. It's whisper quiet and runs cool :)
What software did you use for stress testing?
Im stock, I don't know were to connect the Y (L) cable to the fans
Yeah, The H80i performs as well as the H100i. It's a very big bang for the buck and in the tests it was with a haswell i7 overclocked and the temps barely broke 60.
hey man i am wondering the same thing hey. I installed it with stock fans and idle my comp is on 33-34 aswell. Thinkinkg about getting a fan controller and some non stock fans as the corsair ones are a bit crap if i must say. its strange the H*) cooler i had actually ran alot colder when i first installed it 19-24
Jeez how does blowing the hot air into the case along with a ton of dust make temps lower? I think I'm just not understanding how it works. lol.. Just starting to research these for a new build, makes me feel so n00bish.
How did you get that bagground picture of your PC to be in Corsair Link?
Yes the cooler is installed where the rear fan goes. I saw a few pictures of that case and it looks like it might be able to fit there, but don't take my word for it though.
Wow, Its a beast of a case :D I wish it had a window though
Cool songs bro.
It can be, but I am not 100% sure if it can fit two fans mounted.
did you have to make that cutout?
I am really happy with this cooler :) My AMD FX-8320 4.3GHz is idling at around 15 degrees celsius and sometimes 10 degrees and at full load it hits around 45 degrees celsius :D
Hi, i just installed mine, but my standoffs are too long, they don't tighten. After installing them the backplate is very lose. Now mine isnt touching the CPU correctly.
You removed a cooler h80i to fit in this case?
No problem, so far. I'm using corsair link version 2.2.0 with and h80i firmware 1.0.4.
Will this cooler fit in a Antec 100?
Thats really high! 100 degrees?? Do you mean on the stock cooler or h80i? Nice CPU btw :D I'm jealous :P
WOULD IT FIT THERMALTAKE V3 , i love you if u answer :D
Why am I not seeing comments about the difference before and after running liquid cooling? Not sure this would be worth doing for me. Am I wrong? I have identical ANTEC 900 case with ASUS Crosshair VIII Dark Hero MB. CPU runs between 62C-65C under max load with ASUS stock CPU fan that came with AMD Ryzen 9 CPU running at 4100Mhz. Doesn't seem the results of using this liquid cooler is making any drastic difference. Do you agree?
In the background and select "Change System Image" you can select from other Corsair cases, or upload your own picture.
does it fit in the nzxt phantom ?
It should fit perfectly but if you don't use the top vent on the side panel for a fan.
Wow that's an awesome CPU! I still have a first gen i7 920 :) OC @ 3.3GHz and with prime 95 it reaches about 66 degrees with fans on low settings so it's nice and quiet :) I don't know how good it will be for your 3770k. :P nice case BTW!
Maxing out my CPU at 100 c (i5 3570K) just bought one of these
You probably didn't have to drill that many holes to pop out that cut-out. You could've used a step-down bit and aviator snips.
Thank you! :) It's an i7 920 with D0 stepping OC to 3.3ghz and turbo on. I've also put the rest of my computer specs on the video description.
hi, thx for the video. why didn´t u install the fans in push pull config? it would lower your temps by approx. 5° celsius in load. by the way, push pull config is what corsair recommends, the radiator needs cool air from outside, like a car´s cooler does. give it a try ;)
All these dislikes, so not fitting for the video. Awesome video. I'm looking at getting the H80i or maybe the H50 for my FX-8350 that should arrive any day now. I have an Antec 902 v2 and I think it will fit. I'm completely new to water cooling though and was just wondering if it's really an issue to take out the fan on the back and replace it with this. Won't it make other parts such as my GPU get hotter? Thanks!
LOL I'm sorry I didn't read your comment properly :P Well it depends if you can even mount a h90 on your PC case, the h90 is 140mm and the h80i is 120mm.The h90 is thinner and so is the tubing. There is no fancy lights on the pump or software to monitor the coolant temperature, pump speed etc. I would recommend the h80i with custom fan/fans :)
What do you mean? I removed my air cooler and fit a H80i
dude, sooo you can change the corsair fans to Noctua Fans? Im planning on getting Noctua NF-F12, if so, can i still use the Corsair fan control program?
@phatphuk420

as long as they are static pressure and 120mm yes
I believe using fans to intake through the back will lower CPU temperatures but this will cause slight disruption to the airflow in MY case. Using it as an exhaust is helping dissipate the heat from my graphics card. :) Yes the screws to the back plate do indeed feel loose but it doesn't seem to be of any problem. Temperatures are great so I've left it as it is.
The Blue lit on the Corsair Logo, Can I turn it off?
thanks :)
Hi! You don't need to remove your fan, you can have 2 fans sandwiching the radiator in the back. even if you used just one fan in the back with the radiator your Antec 900 v2 has a big fan on the top to dissipate heat out so it shouldn't be a problem =) If you have a fan on your side panel it would greatly to cool your graphics card.
Do you need to use corsair link?
Thanks :)
Cooler Master ELITE 330U ?
Anytime man, and I'm going to get the i7 3770k and OC it to like probably 4.5GHz or something? And gonna use the Thermaltake Chaser A31 Mid Tower.
