Corsair 2000D Airflow RGB build guide with

Ойындар

Sorry about the gruff voice. I am ill :(
In this video I'm showing you the Corsair 2000D Airflow and the installation of it along with Corsair's iCue System. I'm showing off all the steps for the installation, as well as the problems I came across with the build or the things to think about when crafting your PC in this case so you don't make the same mistakes that I did. This is a tiny ITX case, but one that can fit multiple fans and a 360mm radiator, as well as a large GPU. See below for the specs and more.

Very timely video as I ordered a 2000D for my next desktop build. I picked up the combo bundle from corsair that includes the RGB version of the case, AIO, 1000W PS, and 2 additional fans. My main driver was getting a case that fit on my desktop instead of under the desk like my current mid-tower, because I don't ever want to hit my knee on my case anymore. The under the case cable plugins are better than under the desk plugins, but the big issue I see is making sure Wifi/Blutooth antennas are not directly mounted to the back shield and are on cables that can be remote from the back of the motherboard like most higher end mother boards have. The small footprint and capacity were better for my needs. I am doing an i7-13700k build as I plan to use this more for engineering sims and some video/audio editing but wanted the option for decent graphics for downtime gaming fun. I am currently leaning toward an MSI Slim GPU as this will allow the extra two fans to be mounted on the back and push air into the GPU. Thanks for making the video as it was an immense help!

@TheProvokedPrawn I do have a small question for you. I saw you installed your AIO fans on the outside of the rad (guessing it's so cables wouldn't catch) but I was wondering if that could impact cooling/noise? Wanted to get your thoughts as I might try and tidy things up so that I can have them on the inside

Well done, in all the videos that I see, the guys mount the tubes at the top... It's only you who mounts them correctly. Unfortunately, it must be added that Corsair does not provide a manual for assembling this case. While searching on the net I found a manual for the 2000D which apparently was originally built with the power supply at the bottom and an additional fan attached at the top...

Just a heads up to anyone who's going to build in this case, it's much easier to have the red mounted to the bracket and the fans on the inside of the case blowing outwards. You lose out on the pretty RGB against the side panel, but it makes fitting the tubes inside the case so much easier

Do you think it would be possible to get a second 360 aio to fit if you leave, say, the front panel off?. I have a dual 360 aio configuration I'm trying to down size. Trying to find an itx case that fits a water cooked 4090 is a challenge

I'm planning on buying one for my z790i Aorus Ultra (kinda similar in terms of dimensions). That being said, wouldn't it be easier to route the front I/O cables through the back of the mobo? There is clearly a space for that...

I hope this case is good. I got the black airflow one with the slim rgb fans. This will be my first itx build and so I am erring on the side of caution size-wise especially because I need to fit my 6800xt in it. I do not think this is the prettiest case though, especially with the bottom i/o and that exposed power cable in the back. I'm looking forward to putting the system together though and getting onto AM5.

Several reasons, I got the sfx-l power supply that corsair recommends with it, and the cables are a little shorter, normally a good thing, but for the cpu cable especially a little short to get around an air cooler, which i used. I had the 3 fans at the front, an d15 air cooler, (could not fit the side fan bracket with it) the gpu was constantly 70c. I thought the front fans at 70% would have caused enough air to push in and through. (7900xtx gpu) I think it's aio or bust in this case. I also tried Noctua NH-L9x65, and 2 side 120mm fans with the bracket, it was too noisy, even on the floor not my desk. (7800x3d cpu) I feel this case would have been fine with something like a 4070ti and a side aio. I would probably go with the tower 200 from thermal take for higher end builds if going air cooled. @@TheProvokedPrawn

Whoa, awesome voice. I just couldn't stop watching, it was so soothing. Strong lorath from diablo 4 vibes 😄. Regarding the build. I'm super interested in building in this case, and your video is by far the best I found. I'd try for cooling to remove the fans from my gpu and install two 120mm blowing into the case onto the gpu. On cpu side suck the air out with 3x120mm. So air flows through the case in one direction. And have a cooling block on the CPU, but 90° rotated, so the fins are aligned with the air flow. Only have to hope, that it's not annoying that the tower then blows warm air out of the front (instead of the usual out of the back). The tight fit of the fans, the issues with cable routing and daisy chaining fans were nice to see in practice.

@ozziemurray I'm currently running a ryzen 5 5600 and an rtx 4060. But I'd reccomend getting a 7000 series ryzen processor because the am5 socket has much more to come rather than the lga 1700 socket which has got no more cpus coming to the motherboard. Also get a motherboard with an argb header so you can actually add an accessory to your pc if you want to later down the line because I can't get Strimmer cables or an rgb gpu sag bracket I regret it fr. You can still control a bunch of rgb fans with a fan hub with just a USB header and power going to the fan hub. I'm using the corsair icue commander core xt with 6 corsair fans. Really simple to set up. Rgb cables one side and power the other.

Why did you not share the fact that this pump and all latest ones have high pitch noise and so we who build based on your content would maybe avoid them… I have this case and all these fans and aio and man the pump is so horrible.. the noise even on quiet or silent mode is so darn harsh… this aio cost like an arm and a leg and I would truly recommend anyone who is reading this to reconsider!!! The fans are great and all the link system and iCUE and so on but this pump man… oh my good I regret this upgrade.. my arctic liquid 2 is far far far superior, actually that pump is basically and absolutely silent regardless of system load or settings.
