Assume there are 20,000 residents and 8,000 tax paying households paying income taxes and property taxes. Now assume each household pays 6 dollars in income tax and 7 dollars in property tax (annually) to give the mayor a salary of 300k a year. For me the 300k isn't a dealbreaker but only if they are performing. Clearly she's not doing her job.

They didn't have an instrument to recall so the Trustees put it on the ballot for the residents to vote on. The trustees then put on that same ballot the actual vote to recall her. Mugshot mayor sued them due to the "technicality" that the 2 issues have to be on separate ballots. Technicality, but does make sense. They just rushed it. It is a delay tactic so she can continue to reek havoc, embezzle money, and continue to violate peoples' rights.

Look into the history of the town vs her. Hired a deejay for the town meeting when the attempt to kick her out failed. Paid stupid amounts of town money on police overtime so they could be here personal bodyguard. In one case an officer allegedly put in 303 hours in two weeks "protecting her", so he was only off the clock a total of 33 hours in two weeks. Has locked city employees who are critical of her out of their own offices (as in had the locks changed). Hundreds of people mailed $500 parking tickets with a very short time to pay or it doubles to $1,000. Many of them allegedly for stuff like stopping in front of a store to let someone out of your car, but a cop sitting & waiting photographs it and you're "parking in a for lane". All of which is allegedly the mayor directing the cops to get more city income for her to spend, and they aren't complaining because they're getting all the overtime for watching her. And on, and on, and on.

How can this go on in America? Why hasn't the FBI gone in and arrested this Mayor and her accomplice Sheriff?

With great power comes great responsibility. It appears that there are quite a few women mayors and DA's who have really betrayed the responsibilities that have been thrust into them. Yes, I meant that.

She also funneled thousands of dollars of taxpayer money (both from Dolton and from Thornton Township) to her 'charity' then when it started getting investigated for not providing financial documents (I'm seeing a pattern here) claimed she wasn't actually connected to the charity.

Is anyone beginning to identify a pattern among officials?

We have Michigan residents living on the street veterans living on the street and Gretchen whitmer took it upon, not even going through the state legislature, but has decided to grant $500 to illegal immigrants helping them pay their rent.. and in today's economy my children have problems saving enough money to feed theirselves and to pay their bills, but they should be happy to give up more tax dollars to pay for illegal immigrants ushered into our country, or like those who have pushed their way through the national guard.
