As an adoptive mama, my heart is broken for thebaby girl... The woman who grew that baby in her belly, who faced whatever hell she did to have her child being adopted by someone else, she didn't go through all of that so her baby could live in filth, abuse, and disease. At some point, she hoped her child would have a better life than she could provide herself. It makes me sick, honestly. It's enough of a betrayal when a natural parent does such things... the betrayal is magnified when a person adopts a child, promising to give them opportunities they wouldn't have had otherwise, and then degrades them the way they are.

How can they adjourn the meeting when the people are not done talking!

They are corrupt, and thick as bricks, think they can do what they like without consequences, the mad mayor is in for a shock.

As a retired firefighter and fire marshal, I can tell you that it takes more time to remove those hydrant locks! You also have to have permission from the fire marshals office in order to have the on the fire hydrant!

Well you know then how fast a mobile home can burn down and the nearest fire department is fifteen minutes away and I hope that there’s a fire hydrant really close to that home and they make it there in less than that time because that mobile home is going to be destroyed and burnt to the ground before they even get there. Unless it’s a newer version then they got some time but if it’s a older one it’s gone before they get there for sure. Thank you for your service as a fireman and fire marshal.

@@RobertGee-oi9ww You can get the approval to have a locking mechanism on the fire hydrant but it's in writing and it's a legal document from the Fire Marshals Office! Knowing Otter Creek they didn't get approval! That's a violation of the State fire code which is a state statute!

I've never stepped foot in Otter Creek in my life, but I am cheering for that community. Stand strong! You've got this. ❤

that got me too. it was literally passing the baton on to someone new. Jeremy has gone beyond just being someone there to go through and buy abandoned units, buy a schoolhouse and do it all up - he's literally blown the scandal into the public eye. and it's glorious. this is July 4th fireworks and Bonfire night (5th Nov) all rolled into one. I got what that vet said - he'd been feeding folk and doing charitable endeavours. I reckon he and Jeremy could be best mates after all this. 👍

I'm thinking he was meaning that Jeremy, not having lived there long, shouldn't have to be the one raising the stink to get things fixed and was having some communication issues, and so what he was meaning to say was coming out confused. But yeah, yesterdays video made it seem like he was having a senior moment and was completely confused as to what was going on. Might have been some combination of all that.

"No camera" signs are illegal unless they have a State Code on them, and since recording your Public Servants (Cops included) is your 1st Amendment Right, there will be no Code.

I (and the rest of us now heavily involved in all this) can't get over just how messed up things are at Utter Crooks - I mean - Odder Creek - damnit - Otter Creek!!! oh what a tangled web they weave! there are spiders jealous of that hot mess! 😅

As a firefighter Mr. Hales, I cannot believe an organization would say that locks on a fire hydrant would not hinder the time frame on fighting any fire. It seems there isn't a fire dept. close to Odder Creek😂, take that in consideration and that adds mor time factors to deal with. With what you have posted on the neighborhood and the construction of those shacks/homes they are a lost cause even before any firefighter could arrive. Keep up the good fight, love the stories on this and have a wonderful day.

I have it figured out. The town hall meeting was canceled because he knew that the mayor lady would be on vacation. So he knew that he would be mayor for the next month. That way he can either pay someone to get him the P&L for the term (S) he was mayor or going to remove more paperwork and deleting files on the town computer.

It seems he has some communication issues, and his anger at the way the town has been run recently made it seem as if he was attacking Jeremy, when he wasn't. My guess is that he was meaning that Jeremy being new to the town and having work elsewhere that he would normally be doing, shouldn't have to be travelling back and forth from Ohio to be the one trying to fix the council's mess.

Wow Jeremy. There are some really good citizens in Otter Creek. So glad to see them stand up and defend their home. Glad you are helping them make it a better place to live. Cleaning up the corruption and giving them something to be proud of. It all starts with the right people running it and citizen to back them

Why is anyone in that town being charged for water when by the mayors own words the system isn’t fixed?

I would love to know if Mary had resigned on the day of the original town meeting, which is one of Russell's reasons for the emergency shutdown of Town Hall was about. Why was she then seen coming to work the day after the meeting, and upon seeing Jeremy, she decided to turn around and walk away. Also, if she was no longer an employee of Otter Creek Town Hall/Council, why was she then seen blocking the view from her old office window by filed and boxes. so residents couldn't see inside at what she was up to. Speaking of boxes, if she is no longer the town clerk, why was she seen along with Russell and Richard removing boxes and files from town hall. What are they trying to hide and destroy. The other thing that really bothers me is how, in this day and age, how can a town not have clean, safe drinking water. The US is not a 3rd world country. Has anyone other than council members had the water tested to see what is in the water and seen the results themselves? with all the grants thee town received, what was it spent on certainly not on the Towns people favour In Jeremy's first videos of Otter Creek in one hevwas sitting eating jelly worms in a can that said Can of Worms. He has definitely in the last couple of years opened a can of worms. The Mayor is running scared the town is finally found their voices.

This town hall meeting was another example of a mayor calling the shots for whatever and however he wants. I thought there were two other part time employees able to carry out Mary’s position? Since when does a paid lawyer exit a meeting between he just wants to? How do you close a meeting when there were still people that wished to talk and ask questions?

Exactly what I thought yesterday he's a veteran and God bless him and thank him and everything else my father fought in WWII Korea and Vietnam so that I could have freedom to be wherever I wanted in this so God bless him for serving but he has no right to tell anybody where they belong and thank you again for your service

If she has had multiple addresses, that is an indication of abuse of a child. The parent will try to skirt the protective services by moving. Seen this multiple times in my job as a school based occupational therapist for 20 years.

It doesnt matter if they wrote signs that say no cameras. Unless there is a State law that forbids it.

The SCOTUS has ruled Under the 1st Amendment that anyone can film in Public. Community property (Federal, state, county, city) is public property unless there are signs that restrict access. So that would even negate state laws.

It`s allowed to restrict access to some parts BUT then the clerk has to handle sensitive personal data with the citizens from Otter Creek in a public area,the library and that`s again the law. So the clerk has to open this small room to create privacy and here we start again: Citizens have by law the right to film the employees during their service.....

Hey Hales, just wanted go share this with you about the recotding, in case you need factual info for later on (you can look this up on your own using Florida's LAW gateway or google): State employees in Florida cannot prohibit the use of a video/audio recording during a town hall meeting. The First Amendment of the United States Constitution protects the right of individuals to record video/audio in public places. This right has been upheld by the courts on numerous occasions. There are a few exceptions to this rule. For example, it is illegal to record video/audio in a courtroom without the permission of the judge. It is also illegal to record video/audio in a place where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy, such as a bathroom or a changing room. However, a town hall meeting is a public event, and there is no reasonable expectation of privacy. Therefore, state employees in Florida cannot prohibit the use of a video/audio recording during a town hall meeting. The right to record public officials is important because it allows individuals to hold the government accountable and to document important events. Town hall meetings are a way for citizens to interact with their elected officials and to voice their concerns. By prohibiting the use of video/audio recording, state employees would be preventing citizens from exercising their First Amendment rights.

UNBELIEVABLE!! I've been watching this saga for a very long time, even before you started going to town meetings. The neighbors, the drugs, the filth...it's crazy! One thing for sure, God is surely giving you the tools to combat this corruption. I am, however, extremely worried for not only yours and George's safety, but also for the safety of your property while you are in Ohio. Those people are sneaky and will only come out at night...booby traps would be a great idea for the property while you're away. I also live in Florida, it's a beautiful state with plenty to do for relaxation. I wish nothing but the best for not only You, but also for the entire town. Funny how Russell claimed he had no clerk for last week’s meeting but this week the meeting was held without a clerk. It’s like he and Mary just blurt out responses to questions without thought, just to get people to stop asking, and they are doing this on camera! Reminds me of another Florida man who compulsively lies on and off camera, the one who thinks he is a star. All this lying in their official capacity shows a clear disregard and contempt of the people they are supposed to be serving.

I am here in the UK and am absolutely hooked on this Odder Creek think going. It is crazy, and just picked myself up hearing the Suss say "It was not an emergency". Waaahahahahaha someone give the guy a shovel cos he needs to make that hole a tad deeper. 🙂

Turtle woman is nuts ! Any firefighter that say that needs to go back and get more training! I have been a firefighter for 25 years and every second counts! A fire doubles it’s size every minute! So locks on the fire hydrants I believe is illegal .

Re: No cameras sign. Please see Smith v. City of Cumming, a federal case from the 11th Circuit (which covers Florida) "The First Amendment protects the right to gather information about what public officials do on public property, and specifically, a right to record matters of public interest."

If he cancelled the meeting for an “emergency” because Mary who is the Clerk had quit then why did he call this meeting because he didn’t have a Clerk there.

I think Jeremy SHOULD run that video past his Legal team! I think it was questionable. He didn't SAY anything to threaten him with the gun, and he was On His Property. Not sure how Florida law reads about "Brandishing a Weapon." 😊

Maybe, maybe not Florida has very good gun laws you might not like them but it's a coin flip. He never had the barrel pointed at him so hard to say.

@@gabunnie1 Brandishing a weapon, unless doing so in self-defense, is illegal in the state of Florida. The public can be ultra-sensitive to even legal displays of weapons and may overreact with a call to law enforcement.

This is getting better and better every video. Russ said that Mary retired, then he said she resigned, then he told channel 20 she quit and without her there’s now show. They weren’t holding a show they were holding a town hall meeting, and what happened to Norma the assistant clerk? So, if Russell was just sworn in as a council member, then there is only 4 council members right now until Therese can get sworn in at next month’s meeting? And then they vote who will be the mayor

You know sometimes the Lord puts us in place just at the right time, as a Christian, there are many trials. Keep fighting George and Jeremy! I am hoping all goes well and the good people of Odder Creek accept you and you can all get along.

🤞 Something happens before June 13th with the broken Sunshine law. Russ needs removed and keys stripped same with the maintenance man. Or change the locks to stop things being removed from the office.
