Lots of bands tend to play faster and more frantically live, but these guys stroll though their set like mighty giants who are in no hurry.

These guys are one of the best bands with the greatest sounds ever played. Cant believe they never really hit the top charts. Just goes to show you that true music and talent are sometimes never played by social channels, gotta find it for yourself.

They are revered in their community by their peers. In the end I’d say that holds a lot of water for a true musician. They stayed real through it all too. I love COC. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Living in NC in the 90's I've probably seen COC more than any other band. Old enough to remember the punk days even. Never a bad show. Enjoyed every last one. RIP Reed!

He is one of the most gracious musicians I've ever talked to. Not that I've talked to many, but even after being swamped at the merch table for what seemed like an eternity, he came around the table and took a pic with me and my wife. Ill never forget

Woody is a down to earth good guy , absolute legend .

My band opened up for COC at JB Downs in Kent, OH, in 1986. We all signed the van. Our lead guitarist disappeared with the band getting stoned and we were all pissed for being left out!

You can find me on pretty much every COC song freaking out and commenting, but i stopped by to bow to Bower Power. He is one of the most complete musicians in the entire metal scene i think. His main band EHG is receiving world wide praise 30 years after, his drumming with Down is infectious and here we witness him fill a friend for a special band and still delivering huge grooves. Hail the Southern music

Don't forget that he's been "in and out of Crowbar 10 times" in the words of Kirk himself haha, the man is fucking brilliant. I watched a documentary on NOLA heavy music and Phil Anselmo said that "as goes Jimmy Bower - so does the NOLA heavy music in general" and you can't really argue with that can you!

Back in 1988 Harpo's was where my wife and I started out the night on our first date. COC fan for life here.

This one of the best live DVDs ever! Would have been great to have Reed drumming but Jimmy did a good job.

Met them at the Portland Maine show, Pepper was in the concession line after the gig turned around and he says what's that shirt say ? Opened up my leather he says Scissorfight ? And punches me in the chest lol. We had a great talk they were freezing their asses off up there haha. One of the best bands, ever to roam.

I got to hang with the whole band about 2 years ago at Dime's house. I'm friends with the guys in Mothership and they were opening for them in Arlington at the Dime and Vince tribute show they played at Texas Live. Reed wasn't with them, of course. He was sick. I'm in a wheelchair, and security let me watch the whole show in between the stage and the crowd barriers. The photo pit, I guess you would call it. It was one of the best nights I've ever had, other than actually partying with Dime at Vince's house back in the Damageplan era. There were a few of those I went to back then. Rita facilitated all that. She's a cool lady. I met her at the Clubhouse probably 20 years ago and she offered me a shot bc I was wearing a Pantera shirt. I didn't know who she was and she took me to their table and introduced me to Dime. I did shots with Darian Hatcher and Craig Ludwig of the Dallas Stars that night, as well. They were all buddies. There are a few more stories, but I've rambled enough for one night lol. Anyways, CoC.... awesome bunch of dudes.

Yo I love these guys .I won the album Deliverance when I was living in New Jersey I was sitting on the hopper and I had a phone in the bathroom and wzzl asked a question and asked for the first caller and well I had speed dial I called and I actually won the album deliverance and which pepper king and the rest of the band mates scratched on the fourth side of the double album issues I received in the box very cool badass band I saw them perform one time too good show

37:42 This bit right here should be the absolute #1 thing that bands/musicians, whether in groups or solo artists, THIS RIGHT HERE, should be the first thing taught to the people they take under their wing. It's at the very top of importance for how the mentality should be and not these 100% perfect and robotic sounding/feeling live shows that there is these days..... For me, the little mistakes made while played live make the entire experience relatable, and it gives the moment a uniquely beautifully alive feeling. A pulse that delivers more than just a vibration throughaspeaker... it's a piece of the artists passion and emotion. We just don't get that much these days 😑

Now here is a better band that always plays their older better hits unlike clutch. Bands that refuse to play older material are just disrespectful to their older original fans and just alienate and lose them. Thats why COC always keep theirs 🤗
