David and Tina were an alright couple to begin with but his stupidity and toxic behaviour ruined the relationship. He wasn't emotionally mature enough for a relationship at the time. Tina simply outgrew David and his antics and failure to trust her helped her to realise that. Marrying Kylie and becoming a father definitely helped him to grow up and even then, it was an up and down marriage, which nearly ended a few times. Then being widowed really hit home and watching his wife die in his arms made him more protective of his family, especially Bethany and even Sarah. I think his biggest challenge that he managed to overcome was his rape trauma and his best reward for getting through all of those trials was not just acheiving true maturity but also being able to find love and happiness again with Shona. If they were still alive, i think that Tina and Kylie would be proud of him

Yep I agree with u, David’s had a really hard and bad time with his relationships with Tina and Kylie and I think what ended him and Tina was that Tina aborted his child without telling him which lead him to put Gail in hospital by pushing her down stairs and obviously it was an accident but still caused the two of them to not see each other anymore, and Kylie was hard for him but i think them two were good together but it was sad when she died. I’m glad he’s with Shona and overcome all of it and especially the two main things that I think made everything worse for him which was kylie’s death and what happened with him and josh (aka the r**e)

Tbh Tina was no better, she was too gobby and confrontational hence why her relationships always went sour, and she ended up being murdered

Thanks so much I watched the storyline a while ago but I guess it got taken down so I’m gonna rewatch the whole storyline again 😆

Tina was definitely the best thing that happened to David. If only he had treated her right and been more emotionally mature they might have stayed together. At least they were good friends later though. Tina always had a soft spot for him

David is so cute! I missed out on seeing this back in the 2000s haha
