I think you may explained about litigation firms in tier 1 cities. In case of small town or tier 3 cities, there is no "firm" culture . You've to join a senior advocate. Here you don't get paid. During the court proceedings, some client gives you 50- 100 rupees to get next date as a juniors, specially in criminal matters. Seniors (if ready to pay) pays around 100 rupees per day. I think going independent from day 1 helps to emerge as an Advocate. Learn the craft of drafting and pleading, by observing the court proceedings and preparing the documents. It may help in building own litigation practice from scratch. At the end, I would like to suggest that learning litigation is not different than swimming or driving. One has to practice by own to hone the skills.

Email them directly asking for the solution. I think their policy is that once you don’t accept the seat you’re not under consideration at all
