Corporal Army - Aigen, George | Georgia in WWII

Mr. George Aigen was born October 9, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York. He was drafted into the Army as a Corporal. In his interview, Mr. Aigen remembers walking through a minefield, capturing over two thousand German soldiers, and seeing the inside of Dachau concentration camp.

    1955 I was 5 years old, new’s reels were a big part of the day, I have always wanted to know more about the war in Europe and the South Pacific. I learned a lot about the Germans , but much more. I always knew war was terrible,beyond words, it is, but now with KZread , I have heard the whole story. World war || Veterans and their sacrifice,, all different , all the same. I love are Veterans. Scout!!!

    This gentleman cried hard. At the moment he heard a voice shout, The War is OVER. Then, the *happening* . Which *doubled* his tears.

    I wish I could have helped the Jewish people who suffered. It brings tears to my eyes to think of what they went through and how horribly they suffered. I would give anything to go back and fight the men who did these things to them just to avenge them.
