As a mechanical engineer... I got the concept, what you are teaching... I think it is - pure success of teacher... We need a teacher like you in every department... If we know proper functioning of a machine in detail, we can design it as per our requirement...

@@shomusbiologyofficial Kary Mullins said that PCR test should not be used. Many things rises the immunoglobulins so that does not tell a shit. The more tests done statically will show more false positive. Corona is a political virus. Its easy to cure. Just use 200 mg zink and 100 grams ascorbic acid a day. Put in some 150 000 vitamin D3.

Being a layman, you make it very simple to understand and cleared many doubts about RT PCR & RAPID test.

Sir, Your lecture on RT-PCR, is excellent and easy to understand. Also rapid test for covid - Sars is also very good. I have seen in numerous videos on RT-PCR. Nobody has mentioned about the pro-dye, which is a real confirmation for the test. Tks for providing this information.

Concerning the RT-PCR: How do we ensure that only the target sequence of the +SS RNA is reverse-transcripted? Why other sequences (from other viruses for example) are not reverse-transcripted?

Because in pcr, we use a set of primer (single stranded DNA) which specifically bind to the target sequence of viral cDNA only

एंटीबाडी सिर्फ कोरोना वायरस की वजह से ही बने ऐसा जरूरी नही है, हो सकता है कि वो किसी और वायरस के खिलाफ बना हो, इसलिए एंटीबॉडी टेस्ट 100% सही रिजल्ट नही दे सकता है। ऐसे तो हर व्यक्ति कोरोना +ve मिलेगा

Excellent explanation, super helpful to brush up on before actually working in a testing facility, and I'm pretty glad to finally not see political talk on a scientific video, a breath of fresh air indeed. For some reason people are very caught up on PCR not being for "diagnostics" but for now, it's better than nothing.

Thank you very much you have explained the two processes of testing for Corona on board well. Your explanation is quite good and is in detail, that any lay man can understand. Please speak slowly, so that all can easily follow. You can do better next time . Next time try to show the rapid test and (florescent test also if possible) in live which you can do , by saving on videos with both the positive and negative patients you would have already done testing in your practice or get it from hospital . Thank you young man all the best in future.
