My dad has it, had it for over 2 weeks now. He’s 70, in the icu for nearly 2 weeks now and I remember before he went in he was complaining of weird dreams and feeling confused. He also did have a very bad fever which has now gone. Other than that he has very severe breathing difficulties and is on high flow oxygen therapy of around 60-70% which is high I’m assuming? He also has severe tiredness and fatigue and did have a lack of appetite but that has come back now. Due to the oxygen he now has a very dry and sore mouth and throat and has oral thrust because of that to. Think that is most of what he has wrong with him. Hoping he pulls through, thanks for the work you do.

I suffered from Covid-19. And I would NEVER wish that on anyone. SUPER SEVERE headaches, SUPER SEVERE body aches (especially in my bones), high fever, severe diarrhea, double pneumonia, chills, fatigue, loss of smell, loss of taste, equilibrium was severely off ( had to have assistance walking or use wheelchair and my speech was SEVERELY distorted (my speech would come and go). The hospitals, doctors, nurses, therapists were all confused and didn't know what to do. So they prescribed me anxiety medicine. Thank God, I'm healed‼️

I wish someone would answer my question and stop beating around the bush! Can having covid cause meningitis or something mimics it? Can it cause sinus infection? I have a severe headache/neck pain off & on for a 1.5 weeks until I woke up with fever head/neck/spine pain I was sent to ER from urgent care with 102 fever thought to have meningitis or like infection as my fever kept progressing. By the time I was in ER temp over 103 & low spine hurt severely doc thought I had meningitis or discitis so given broad spectrum iv antibiotics & steroid shot it took my high fever and severe pain away completely knocked it out. But I end up positive for Covid and 8 abnormal blood labs. It wasn’t until I was swabbed for covid that 2 days later I end up w/ a swollen nose, sinus infection symptoms, facial pain, return headaches, fatigue, weakness, mild cough w/mucous and now right sided neck pain. Tested 4 days later still positive for covid but doctors say my symptoms aren’t typical for covid??!! HELP! And feedback? Appreciated.

I had symptoms of covid 19 a few weeks ago. Dry cough, sore throat, temperature etc. After 4 or 5 days I completely lost my sense of taste and smell and had a terrible headache around my sinuses. Going on 5 weeks now with Covid19 and have had the no smell no taste sensation. Also, experience major migraine headaches and I have been living with hiv/aids for over 20+ years, and have a suppressed immune system that really concerns me. The information was quite valuable, and I'm still learning new things every day as I seem to have different symptoms that come and go. Don't know when I will be able to test negative again, but so far I after the first positive result, I retested, and my tests results were positive for the second time. So this is so scary for me to go through this process, and actually my entire family was diagnosed with Covid19. My Mother, 2 Sisters, and a nephew plus myself. Looking forward to hear more about this Covid19 Virus.

My friend James had this horrible cough and so many symptoms. He got tested for the flu and that came back negative. I had a bad time too losing my sense of smell toward the ends of my illness but, not being able to sleep or breathe well for about three weeks. I feel fine now and his breathing is better too but I am worried about him since his face fell at some point when his cough was bad and he cannot keep his left eye open anymore. He is going to the doctor tomorrow. He and I both had lots of eye irritation as well and I thought his eye problem was pink eye but his eye looks fine. He has never been diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. I am also worried about how tired he is. He is 51 years of age.

Hearing about the kidney damage and the liver damage has also scared the crap out of me because when I was 4 years old I had a severe case of scarlet fever and that left me with hyperactive kidneys . I would not want any more kidney problems and consider myself blessed that it is not worse as scarlet fever can really mess a person up and I do have all the inflammation from that ... often waking up with swollen hands and feet , and still sometimes have days of lethargy . Hey..didn't know where else to ask...I know someone who has severe OCD and I promised them to ask around on KZread. This person got tested for COVID19 through the nose and one of her obsessive thoughts is, that they might have a chip in their brain now, which one day might be activated and make them do stuff they don't want to do. So the question is: is it physically possible to put a microscopically small chip through the nose into someone's brain, specifically to a place that would make sense to "control" someone's behaviour? And would it even be possible to control someone's mind, from a scientific point of view??? I know this sounds strange and weird but that's just how these obsessive thoughts work I guess. Hope you see this and maybe give me an answer so I can maybe reassure this person with OCD that there's nothing to worry about. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work 👍

I just figured I needed to do a better job with eating more. Then a couple weeks later, wicked esophagus pains and it always felt like something was stuck in my throat. Now I have horrible gi issues. Mainly diahrea. I know I know, yuck. My newest thing now is my entire body just shakes to the core. Can't even walk down steps with trembling. It's pretty bad. I'm terrified. I've been to urgent care, and the er twice now. Adrenal tests and a full blood count all came back with perfect results. I haven't been tested for covid yet but Monday morning I am scheduled to get swabbed first thing in the morning. I'm not eating, killing myself with stress, and just down. I've seen similar comments here, so I just felt the urge to reach out and see if anyone else has had what I am dealing with. Healthy 36 year old man here, then this struck me. Any replies would be great 😊 Stay safe friends

First symptoms day after Christmas. Slight fever and achy for a day or two which went away. Then hit with acute dizziness, headaches and nausea. Could barely get to bathroom due to dizziness and couldn't keep down anything -- water, food, nausea medication. Ended up in hospital to get rehydrated. So many sick people there. Don't get this disease. I felt fortunate I didn't have respiratory problems. I didn't lose smell, but several times a day I smell a phantom smell of musty, moldy rotten food. Three weeks out and the dizziness has improved but still bad. I can't drive myself anywhere or turn quickly. I have to stay focused on whatever is directly in front of me. Had my first visit with a neurologist today. We'll see . . . . .

@@numerosgriegos YES. It took about two months for the symptoms to dissipate entirely. After about three weeks I was on an upward trajectory with no "backsliding" symptoms. Interestingly, I had a return of some of the symptoms for a brief few hours after my second vaccination shot (Pfizer). Apparently dizziness, nausea and headaches are just how I do Covid. My neurologist saw a lot of patients with similar symptoms, but my regular doctor and the hospital doctors seemed to think my symptoms were unusual.

I'd be very interested to read your opinion of developments since you made this video over two years ago. In particular: "We may finally know how covid-19 reaches the brain: the corona virus could stimulate the growth of tiny tubes between nose and brain cells that it then moves through" New Scientist, 30 July 2022, p 23. This is a conjecture based on in vitro studies in which "Upon entering the model nose cells, the virus stimulated them to grow tunneling nanotubes, forming links with model brain cells. The virus then used these tunnels to shuttle between the cell types". So the virus doesn't seem to "jump" the blood brain barrier after all by damaging the cells lining the very narrow blood vessels there, but gets its own vessels built. The article also says "Previous studies suggest the ACE2 receptor the virus uses to enter cells is barely detectable in the brain". This apparently contradicts your remark that "these receptors seem to be widespread throughout the brain". Nevertheless it's still interesting that you add "with particular focus where neurons are involved with heart and lung function". Could the virus use the brain to get control of lung function as a means of ensuring massive proliferation in the lungs, and from there infecting other organisms?

Day 8 of covid, I had terrible swelling and pain in my eyes and a bad headache. Many more symptoms but includes loss of smell and taste. Now I smell a horrible burning sensation. I'm also always dizzy/vertigo-like in my brain. Mainly on my right side. The loss of senses and dizziness makes me sick. I'm losing weight quickly. I fear is in my brain. When I first got sick I had severe nerve pain so down my spine (I was thinking I was getting shingles). Once that subsided I noticed the loss of taste and smell.

Mainly feeling like I have to think about breathing. Chest X-ray clear. I have other COVID symptoms but no fever. I saw the doctor and they gave no test but diagnosed probable mild COVID. I can smell and taste. I do have chronic anxiety which can play a role in my perceptions of symptoms. Been feeling this way for about 3-4 weeks which came after a period of feeling a bit better for a couple weeks following a few weeks of feeling poorly with shortness of breath back in Feb. thoughts?

Diane , there is a mudra ( yoga using the hands) which very quickly gets rid of anxiety and fear and it really does work ; it is very simple yet powerful . There are several videos about it here on KZread . It is the mudra where you make a certain signal with your hands that looks like you are putting your hand up in the air as a sign of giving up . For the brain please look for things that heal the brain such as BRAHMI powder which has helped me a lot with my neurological issues . You can usually get it dirt cheap at Indian Grocers . Please also look into HARITAKI powder again that you can get in Indian Grocers .
