Sadly there'll always be deluded muppets who react like this.Soaps,(or 'continuing dramas' as they now seem to be known),have generally dealt with 'real-life' situations in a sensitive honest manner and have been known to actually do some good.Most of us are sensible and mature enough to understand the nature of saop storylines.

Even kids probably know that this is fiction for crying out load! It just shows how many stupid people there are in the world when fully grown adults go around and beating the actors for what happened in a show that's not even real.

Don't worry it was all rubbish. The actor was in the paper a few days later saying it was made up and he was never attacked. He'd made a reference to avoiding pubs during the World Cup but to be fair so did I and I'm not on the telly!!

What ... ? we have some thick people in this country. but if he was in a pub, i guess the guy was drunk a bit, and if i was drunk and saw him i would probably get a bit confused. (just remember ITN always make the story look worse) so i bet the guy was drunk

Thing is, if people can't tell the difference between reality and soaps, is that not because soaps are so well written and acted? Stop making them so good.....

I wish that more people would attack these people. Soaps, although being fictional, are meant to be based on real life.. We have utter filth coming on to our screens now, and these people are responsible for playing the characters. Line up all of the on screen scum and batter them.
