Believe me he is a bad actor. He’s by far the worst on Corrie, this is the one scene where he wasn’t totally awful, literally any other scene he’s absolute trash

She didn't actually slap him! I watched it and thought that then I watched it really slowly only to realise that Leanne had her hand facing towards herself and not Simon so it would've looked a bit like 'the chicken wing' arm position

Simon didn’t intend to hurt Leanne, he needed her to get out and about because she was making herself ill sitting in the flat or day and not talking to anyone. Yes Leanne is grieving, but she still needs to be a mother to Simon, his nearly died and still could die, and she wasn’t there for him. All Simon was doing was trying to make her happy again. It was a silly idea but he didn’t deserved to be slapped.
