I think she would have loved the fact that the press were at her funeral and people were taking an interest. A very genuine and lovely lady.

I grew up watching this lady and remember her always making me giggle... I’ve started watching old coronation streets and my I miss her!

I always remember that laugh of hers. "Eh, dyer hear that Jack?..." She was genuine and a great actress who made the character larger than life. RIP sweetheart.

One thing we all got to remember she was a very great actor and many people would want to show the respect missed by all but never forgotten rip

Liz Dawn was a larger than life actress and public figure. I'm sure she would have wanted her fans all over the world to see part of her funeral. There was nothing disrespectful though the clicking was a bit loud and could have been toned down in the edit. RIP Vera.

I got to meet Liz dawn her and bill tarmey were opening a furniture store in Dudley everyone was calling her Vera when she got to my mom she called her Liz and asked her for a photo she said of course held my mom's arm for the photo that photo is still on my hallway wall rest in peace Liz and thank you ❤

Liz and Bill Tarmy came to our school many, many years ago, Bollin Cross, Style, Cheshire. It was originally called Style Resedential School, then later became Bollin Cross school. Bill was a taxi driver and drove one of the several black cabs that took the children out on day trips to Blackpool and the like. The cabs were all decorated with different coloured balloons and went under the heading '' Convoy Of Happiness ". Both Bill and Liz came one year and I had a nice little chat to them both. Lovley people. Both sadly missed as Jack and Vera 😢

My wonderful granddad died at 104 and most of the congregation took pictures. I suppose a horse drawn carriage was something to see.....but weird they should take a camera to a funeral. Very bad taste if you ask me.

It’s very nice to see people go to the funeral and see the person they love best go by in the funeral car and they give them a lot of clapping

How sad that her funeral was a circus, no respect just news, news news awful? god bless you Liz.

Oh I loved her

Spent the day at Granada tv photography department as a photo student in 1988 and Liz came and sat at our table at lunchtime. She had a pint of beer and a short, tipped the short in her pint and winked at me. Never forget that.

A great actress - She managed to make what on paper should have been a rather unlikeable character into one of the most loved - I remember a scene where she was sitting watching the telly and the Opera was on - No talk needed she told us everything she was thinking and struggling to understand with just facial expressions - Now that takes some doing

I guess 'celebrity funerals' have been part of public attention for decades now but do we really need to see close up images of grieving family members? Personally I think it's intrusive and undignified. I imagine that even if the family of the deceased requested that media attention either not be present or respectful of a request to not film them in close up if they must be there would go unheeded by some, particularly the paparazzi who coldly view such events as a means to earn a few quid, 'Just doing my job,mate'. Anyway, 'Tara, Vera, chuck', thanks for entertaining us Corrie fans. Rest In Peace.

I agree it's insensitive and intrusive to film people grieving, but the opening shots of the guests arriving were filmed from within the gated cathedral grounds, so they must have had permission from the diocese to set up there.
