This scene was heartbreaking to watch and I'm glad Corrie is doing this storyline bc mental health can affect anyone whether they are young or old. Please always check up on your friends, family, neighbours, work colleagues bc you never know what battles they are fighting

This teared me up tbh. I think there's a few of us who can relate to what Audrey was saying. Please, if you are in such a dark place talk to someone, and if needed, the UK Samaritans number is 116 123.

Have seriously contemplated suicide twice, never got as far as attempting though, but I think on the second occasion I would of been successful if I had. Took years to seek help, I'm one of those people who tries to sort problems on my own, then will try and convince myself that I have, but I'm really glad to be on medication to help regulate my condition now. Even if I have to take it for the rest of my life, it's far better than the potential alternative. And yeah, this storyline has definitely struck a chord with me xx

This has broken my heart too. Audrey went from a young, busy woman, to older, retired, with her family treating her like a child, feeling less important. That can do a lot to someone's mental state. It is good to see her with her friends

Really bad when you feel so low you want to take your own life. I felt that way in the past thought my life was over at the age of 12. Still keeping strong. I wish everyone well and if you feel like this then please do talk it may save you ❤❤

exactly. It's like this show is incapable of doing a serious storyline without cringy humor. Shame because the hate crime storyline with seb and nina was really well done without adding crap like this.

Slapstick: serious moment straight to a funny moment. used to make the moment stick in the viewers head, and be a memorable point of the show. it allows the audience to reflect on this moment even after the episode has ended

Just shows the arrogance of the virtue-signalling writers to think it's their job to "raise awareness" via a soap. I remember when you could get a laugh out of the Street...

Yeah that part was rather strange. The whole thing was weird. Like, why is Audrey blurting out that she tried taking her own life in such a public setting? It just feels weird. In real life that'd almost never happen. The person would admit it in privacy with confidence of knowing that nobody else hears it. This scene just felt uncomfortable to watch. It's not good writing in the slightest.

How would Rita know the Single Ladies song, from Gemma? That posh lady was Joanna Lumley! Rita & Audrey were at each other’s throats til recently when the writers decided to reconcile them. Well scripted and acted, with some light moments, even though Rula sounds so butch, but my God, as if real life isn’t depressing enough right now with Covid, Ukraine, the cost of living, Bozza and his antics, climate change etc. People want to watch Corrie for a bit of light relief, not more doom and gloom from the veterans, even though I’m sure Audrey’s storyline will be handled sensitively and Sue will do it justice.

The thing is someone of Audrey’s ilk and age should be on something like nortyptiline. Citalopram is far too commonly-prescribed by GPS (I hope it’s doing its thing for you, by the way).
