Gail has no self awareness, she seems incapable of seeing beyond herself and what she wants and placing herself in someone else's position, regardless that her behaviour has directly affected them. I might not have been her choice at that stage, but she tells Brian that Sarah Louise (dreadful double name) is his child and dares him to hold her, "she won't bite". Later, when he's come to terms with this, she tells him that SL is her child not theirs, and she'll do everything herself. Wailing Gail, the exemplary mother, who months earlier was prepared to desert her son and go to the other side of the world.

​@@bsaunders5271I have twin boys, they 9 on Saturday when I in hospital I met a lady who had lost one of her twins, and was still carrying the one🙏 also my school friend lost her baby while her friend holding her, sudden death syndrome 💔, I'm sure corrie showed every respect in this tragic circumstance 🙏💔🥲 xx

@@MarcoNegrisEye Terry sold Vera a car. She gave Gary's wife Judy a lift to the shops and the car was involved in an accident. Judy was injured and weeks later she collapsed and died due to a clot in her leg, resulting from that injury. It then came to light that the car Terry sold his mother was a 'cut and shut' and therefore dangerous to drive. Gary rightly blamed Terry for the death of his wife.

@@londonlady227 I don't know if there was a difference in wages admittedly but good point about pubs closing in afternoons. I'm away to check when all day opening hours were introduced now 😂 Edit: it was the following year when pubs in England and Wales were allowed to open from 11am to 11pm. I'm in Scotland so I'm guessing pubs were open whenever they liked up here which does a lot for our reputation 😂

The formation dancing story… so boring and inspiring… the scriptwriters would have been better off including a story about Ken raising triffids in his back yard. And the leaflets that Deidre and co were ready to distribute…. Looked like each person had about five….

Always felt that storyline with Gail and Ian baffling. It was obviously to create a drama and some scandal but it was extremely out of character for Gail, and the idea she would sod off to Australia with him after about 3 days together was ludicrous
