    We have the 9560 Massey combine with the Stars and Stripes wrap you did a video on it with the challenger MT955B doing fall tillage! This year 2022 we still have corn in the ground not much but I was just combining yesterday just about 100 acres left to go!

    Thank you for watching. I have some WFE videos on the way this winter. This was a nice harvest team. I did not know this farmer. I just spotted it while driving and thought I have to film this pair. The farmer was very nice to let me film and ride.

    Ahhh, the smell of Diesel and corn dust! Pretty close to my home town of Toledo. My family has always had a place in our hearts for Massey combines. Had an old pull-type, a 410, and an 850. I’ll forward this video to my brother because he’ll appreciate this.

    The 410 is retired, but he still uses the 850 with tracks when it’s muddy. His go to machine is a bigger Deere these days. I love these off season videos where you concentrate more on not only the details of the machinery, but on the overall process.

    Large frames, so 19's thru 26's with cvt's only are built in Jackson. All gear transmissions and small frame cvt tractors(18's thru 15's) come from France. Jackson built tractors use a different serial # sequence, plus the invoice will not show a port of entry.

    Massey has been no.1since they built the first combine back in 1940, and still are the best, they keep the grain in the tank, instead of throwing it out the back which Deere is good at.

    What combine would you buy if you were farming? You see 'em all while kafilming. Which combine puts less grain out the back?

  • @bigtractorpower

    @bigtractorpower

    6 жыл бұрын

    I think every combine on the market is a good machine and has its advantages through design or technology. The least grain out the back would go to Gleaner with Massey Ferguson/Challenger a very very close second. If I was farming I would chose a Gleaner or a Massey/Challenger for their design, clean grain and minimal loss.

    My job as a kid was spill cleaner upper. I would carry a shovel and rake with a 5 gallon bucket and whenever any corn, beans, sunflower or wheat spilled, I got as much as I could get up off the ground. The farmer I worked for (my uncle) was very anal about that. No waste. He would chew my ass if I fed a hog more than the predetermined amount. Tough for a 7 year old, but I didn't care. Anything to be on the farm working. I made $5 a day, and that was like a small fortune.
