Corn Aligner Carp Rig How To

Спорт

Corn Aligner Rigs are not very hard to tie. They are primarily used for carp fishing but other species will eat them as well. The Corn Aligner is tied in only a few steps and I offer some tips in doing so. #cornalignerrig #cornrig #carp #carpfishing #cornaligner

Great video Brian, you really pay attention to the details, the more that I fish for carp I realize how important it is to do so. Do you feel that if you were to use this rig on the surface, it would be better to have the hook point facing up or down?

Thank you! I try to overly explain everything so no detail goes unmentioned. I would still have the hook down for surface fishing because it would still go on the mouth and hook the same way. Plenty more videos to come!

Hi Brian, Very nice video ! Do you think the weight of the putty is enough to do the "selfhooking" of the carp ?

I've seen videos where they say to use a heavy weight (3oz or more) so that when the carp tries to spit out the bait and runs, the weight of the weight helps to insure self hooking. But then I've seen other videos where no weight is used at all, the carp feels nothing, pulls line on your bait feeder as they swim off, you lift up to reel in the slack and they take off running. And then there are also slip rig setups using an egg sinker.

It looks like the kicker narrows the gape of the hook, making it more difficult, if not impossible to hook a fish. Can you explain how the kicker works?

Can carp be found in most bodies of water in the states, if not, how do you find them?

  • @BrianWingard

Most all bodies of water have carp in them. There have only been a fish I have fished that do not have them. Best thing is to ask a local fish warden, check your states pages or do what I do and just give it a few tries and see what you catch or look for signs. Good luck fishing and thanks for watching!
