@@04nbod yeah and ı think if the cheating in the games weren't revealed and they let Lucy Gray stay in the Capitol(Coryo would insist she is not really from the Capitol and people loved her performances she could even sing next year before the Games), as Coryo imagined during the games,she would sing at Pluribus' night club and Coryo would start the University and they would marry;Coriolanus Snow now would not become the evil person we know him to be.Because Lucy Gray was his weakness and she could really fix him,manipulate him in a good wayThey would pretend to agree with the games and wait for Dr.Gaul to dieAnd when he rose to power as the President and Lucy Gray as the First Lady of Panem they would end all this cruelty.I wish this was their end.

Maybe a little of both. Maybe he started out solely to manipulate, then developed feelings for her, not love but a certain respect that can easily develop into love under proper circumstances, but these feelings were far too short to compete with his ultimate goal, and he chose what is worthless over the one chance he had in life for something better. “It’s the things we love most that destroy us.” Lucy didn’t destroy him. His goal was what destroyed him. It’s a sort of variation of “be careful what you wish for.”

The Author says he did love her though. Her quote when it was published was about how this person who needs so much control experiences love, which cannot be controlled and how that mix ends badly. @@brianbommarito3376

I love Coriolanus and Lucy Gray so so much. I really wish they were endgame. Their development was just beautiful. Coriolanus being a mentor for Lucy Gray in the Games and then they slowly become close and fall in love. Why did Snow have to ruin it because he wanted greed and power? He could’ve changed for the better after meeting Lucy Gray but he changed for the worse because he didn’t like how Lucy Gray made him weak. They could’ve been very happy together. He also could’ve been a president for good and for the people, but no. Lucy Gray forever changed him, in both a good and a bad way. 🥺 But I still love them regardless. Lucy Gray Baird was Snow’s one and only love and he ruined it.

I really hope one day we learn the real fate of Lucy Gray............I like to imagine she survived in the woods and managed to live her life somewhat peacefully in the wilds or something.
